Halo 6 May Release on Windows 10, Says Phil Spencer

4.4
Microsoft may still be resistant to bring Halo 5, or The Master Chief Collection, over to PC, but it doesn’t look like that will apply to Halo 6, if and when it releases. In fact, given Microsoft’s Xbox Anywhere initiative, one would have naturally assumed that Halo 6, when it does release, would be coming to Windows 10 PCs too.

And now, in an interview with PCGamer, Phil Spencer has confirmed as much. When asked if there would be any ideological reason Microsoft might not release the next Halo on PC, Spencer gave us a firm “Not at all,” indicating that no objections to putting the game on PC would exist from his side, unlike the case with Halo 5.

If this is true, this would make a lot of PC players, who have been requesting a new Halo game on the platform for a while now, very happy.

Of course, for that, Halo 6 would have to exist first- and for now, it looks like 343 Industries are happy supporting Halo 5: Guardians with some excellent post launch content.

Seems like a good concept xbox are doing allowing games to be played on w10, just moving into a new market for them.

ScoOGa Only really enjoyed 3 & reach tbh, lost interest since.

I was the same way tbh.
I picked up 5 when it first came out though and it's the best one IMO

This would be a cool idea. I could see us Xbox One owner's being able to play with PC gamers if they did this.

Discrete In my opinion, Halo is better served as a console game. Not a very smart move.

Could you please explain why you think that ??

That'd be really cool if it would come to PC. Halo Online on my PC is just a taste of what could be if they would ditch the xbox exclusivity.

Putting the game on PC will have no effect on the console version of the game and it will make Microsoft more money so it is very much a smart move. The only reason they haven't been putting Halo on the PC to begin with is to try and force people to buy consoles just to play the game.
