It was previously reported that Deadlight would become this month's second freebie via Microsoft's "Games with Gold" program; the title is normally priced at $15 USD and will remain free to gold members till April 30th. Deadlight is a single player survival horror title that was released in late 2012 through both Steam and XBLA. Gamers simply have to navigate to their Xbox 360 Dashboard prior to April 30th to claim their free game.
HearthStone: Heroes of Warcraft has finally been released via the iOS app store for the iPad. The free-to-play game can be yours with simply a download; the title is slated to be given a single player adventure mode, Curse of Naxxramas, at a later date for all supported platforms. Apple, Microsoft, Google, Samsung, Nokia, HTC, Motorola, Huawei, and Asurion all have pledged to offer a free anti-theft tool for devices they make after July 2015; the effort is also being supported by wireless carriers AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, and T-Mobile while Blackberry and LG are not involved. This feature would mean that when a consumer has their device stolen or loses it will be able to log on from a computer to remotely wipe and render their former device inoperable.
RedLynx's Trials Fusion has finally been released for all currently supported console platforms: Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, and PS3. Developer Spark Plug Games has revealed that their upcoming endless runner/action game is slated to arrive in July for the PS4, Vita, PC, and Mac. The title was funded via Kickstarter and is the studio's second attempt at crowd funding; in 2012 the developer was forced to cancel a project, Steampunk Bullet Train, due to lack of funds. The developer claims that MechRunner will be feature complete and launch ready by July 2014 regardless of the current Kickstarter campaign's success or lack thereof.
