This tutorial was created by Deep3r (me) and it'll show anyone who can't use the Fbbuild correctly on their own.

Things you'll need:

  • FreeBOOT 0.4/Fbbuild v0.11 (12625 Kernel Edition)
  • 360 Flash Tool v0.97
  • Previous FreeBOOT image (Working)
  • CPU Key

They can all be found using Google.

Step One:

You'll need to open your previous FreeBOOT image into 360 Flash tool and then click Extract then you'll need to click the following options in the extraction window.

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

It'll then ask you to select a place to save these files select your Desktop.

Step Two:

You should now have a couple of folders on the Desktop of your PC there should be a folder called "freeBOOT", open that folder, now there should be another sub-folder called "Data", open that folder. You should now see these files.

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Now in the Fbbuild_12625 folder there should be another folder called "mydata" in that folder drag and drop the "kv.bin" and the "smc.bin".

Now go back onto your desktop and there should be another folder called SMC, open that folder and there should two files called "SMC_dec.bin" and "SMC_enc.bin" rename the "SMC_dec.bin" to "SMC.bin". So, it should now look like this.

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Now drag and drop that "SMC.bin" into the "mydata" folder in Fbbuild.

Step Three:

Now go into the "mydata" folder and there should be a text file called "cpukey.txt" open that Text file in notepad and you should now have a file with a CPU key at the top. Replace that CPU key with your own CPU key.

Step Four:

Go into the main Fbbuild_12625 folder where the program "Fbbuild.exe" is in. Then what you need to do is hold the shift button (button with arrow pointing up) and right click at the same time. Now click "Open Command Window Here".

You should now have a command window opened.

Step Five:

Now in the CMD window you're going to want to type one of the following into the window depending on your consoles motherboard.

For Xenons:
Fbbuild.exe -c xenon -d mydata FreeBOOT.bin

For Falcons:
Fbbuild.exe -c Falcon -d mydata FreeBOOT.bin

For Zephyrs:
Fbbuild.exe -c Zephyr -d mydata FreeBOOT.bin

For Jaspers 16mb:
Fbbuild.exe -c jasper -d mydata FreeBOOT.bin

For Jaspers 256mb:
Fbbuild.exe -c jasper256 -d mydata FreeBOOT.bin

For Jaspers 512mb:
Fbbuild.exe -c jasper512 -d mydata FreeBOOT.bin

And now once you've selected you console, hit enter.

You should now have a clean FreeBOOT.bin NAND image in the main folder, just flash it to your Xbox 360 and you should now be on the 12625 Kernel/Dashboard, Enjoy.
