Im curious to know, ive worked at my work for over a year and called off twice, once back closer to the beginning of my hire due to a car accident and today because im going to an emergency dentist for one of my molers, how many times have you guys and why?

I don't really have the need to call out and i really can't but i work 3 days on and 4 off.

The hours switch monthly as well.

But i do get 1.5 vacation days a month..

Never called in per say, unless this counts:

A few weeks after I started working, a high pressure hose exploded in my hand and burnt the shit out of it. Boss man took me to the doctor, and payed for everything.

I had a really nice pilsbury doughboy looking hand all bandaged up, showed up to work on monday, and was told to go home. Go the week off with pay. Haven't been out since.

I've been at the same job since I've left school at 16. I'm 20 in two months and I have only called in sick twice, both for legitimate reasons.

The work ethic I have, I would never call in sick without physically being able to go in.

I've thrown a sickie only a couple times since I started my current job 3.5 years ago.

However I have had time off on medical grounds when I had a mental breakdown. 2 weeks off paid for.

Got some good workers here on the site. im impressed. my boss was tossing me pain pills for my tooth like it was candy and it is finally to the point where i needed to go

The only real time I have ever needed to call off was when my wife was in labor both times.

I cannot complain with my hours and days, night shifts, and a fair schedule three on two off.

I can't say I've counted but for ab 2 years i'd say close to 3-4 times I've called off, but that doesnt count for days I've requested off because I do that often I'm a busy man. More less just like choosing my work days and off days.
