So I started my new half sleeve about 3 days ago.. and the work the artist did is horrible.
I wanted a viking fighting a wolf, and what he put on me looks like something I could've sketched in 9th grade.
Granted, it's only the line work and it's not done yet, I don't really want to finish it.

So my question is, does anyone know if this will be able to be covered up with another tattoo?
Either something really dark, or maybe with a lot of colors? I'm not really sure how cover ups work.

Considering the size of that, it would have to be a massive cover up. Cover ups are not cheap either.

I can see what you mean... The battle axe looks like a boomerang on a stick.

Did you pay a lot for the design and line work?
How many hours was this session?

Was this artist recommended to by someone?

I do have to say your work is 10x better than that. Artist need to realize people have to live with tattoos for the rest of their life.

It was $200, and he took about 1.5-2 hours.
I went to him before for and got a quote tattoo, and I thought he was good but apparently I was wrong.

I would sue the guy who sketched that. The axe looks like a hoe. (Farming hoe not the other hoe)

You could cover it up, but it would need to be a large piece. As for the ideas you posted, I only think the dark skull would work, because the others may shown lines through where it needs to fade. Not entirely sure though. You will be able to.
When I can, I'll ask my dad when he gets back, he used to work in a tattoo studio a while back.

Hope you can get that fixed.
