Choir-master Jack White resisted the urge to listen to his namesakes Seven Nation Army, instead opting to lock himself inside a hotel room in Southampton and intentionally RickRoll himself for days on end.

He will hear the song, which is infamously part of an Internet pranking sensation, over 2,500 times as part of a charity challenge in support of his nephew, who has type 1 diabetes.

In that time, he wont be allowed to go on online, read or do anything else to distract himself from the 1980s song, including speaking or even humming along. Thats dedication!

He is living on a diet of porridge, rice and water and will not wash during the entire task which is being live streamed on YouTube.

Supporters of Jack selected Astleys trademark hit via an online poll of the three most annoying songs in the world the other contenders were Let It Go from Frozen and viral sensation Trololo by Eduard Khil.

Jacks unique challenge kicked off at midday yesterday and will run until 3pm on Monday, after 75 hours of incessant Astley warbling, and he has already raised £2,000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

And the singer himself has even posted his support for Jacks endeavour on his Facebook page.
