the cases are all random, if you want an ak skin or m4 skin you'll simply have to go to the market and buy one your self, the cases are just a gamble really, its more rare to get the better skins but there is a chance, so if youre feeling lucky open some, i personally either trade or buy my skins

skins pretty much are just for show they do not add any advantage but a cool look. but some are worth alot of money the cheapest ak skin you will find is the elite build or safari mesh but elite build looks the best tbh and the cheapest m4 skin you will find is the m4 dynamo or the m4a1 blood tiger. hope this helped you out in understanding skins

When you get serious about csgo, skins are crucial

Usually, if there is a specific skin you want 99% of the time you're better off just buying it than opening cases.

Since you are obviously new to the game, I'll explain a few things. Just by wanting skins, you're not going to get them. When you open a case the skin is randomly generated with a percentage. So let's rank the tiers in a table so to speak. Blues are worth 70%, purples are worth 15%, pinks worth 10%, reds worth 4% and yellow (knives) worth 1%. When you press Open Case, a random number is generated and if it's between 1 - 70 you get a blue, 70 - 85 a purple, 85 - 95 a pink, and so on. Once it is generated it will select that skin to be displayed and put in your inventory. For an example, I've opened around $930 worth of cases and only have a $583.95 inventory meaning I've lost a lot of money. There are some skins that are bad and some that are rare. Skins in CSGO are random and if you're wanting to get better guns, I suggest opening more cases or opening the expensive cases. Every skin has its own perchantage and rarity-

Restricted (Purple) Drops: 16.2% (59)
Classified (Pink) Drops: 2.5% (9)
Covert (Orange) Drops: 1.6% (6)
Exceedingly Rare (Yellow) Drops: 0.8% (3)
