My local computer store has sent me an email with a few SSD deals, im not too sure if they're good or not though, I do not have an SSD currently though so picking one up would be good. Just want to double check to make sure they're good.

No those are far over priced.

Check on amazon you can get a 250gb Samsung SSD for less than 100 bucks.

Edit: Just realized that you're in Australia. Still did the conversion and it's still not that great of a deal.

The 850 EVO and 850 Pro are good drives. You can get decent 120/128GB SSD's for about $80 though so no need to over pay unless you want to. Oh, and you can get decent 240/250/256GB SSDs for about $140.
