Gameplay

With over one million downloads this game is a great example of a strategic based game. Right off the bat you are thrown into the game with little to no experience. They have you choose to play one of the four difficulty modes. These difficulty modes are regular, nightmare, 3-man challenge, and lastly tv challenge. in regular mode you have to fight of standard waves of zombies, but as the rounds progress the zombies get upgraded endurance points. Nightmare is a game mode where zombies have increased endurance and you are able to get gold upgrades as well. 3-man challenge includes the same difficultly options in the nightmare game mode, but this time the team sized is reduced to three people. And lastly tv challenge mode is where you have to protect a cameraman during every mission and for every zombie killed the station will pay you an extra dollar. There are around forty-two missions in each game mode except for the 3-man challenge game mode. As you complete levels you will gain more money that you can use to upgrade your soldiers. There are over 120 upgrades for regular mode and around 32 for gold. These will increase the stats of each player and unlock many more attributes. Each mission has a number of waves to complete as well as zombie type and zombie amount. Each mission needs its own strategic planning as zombies come from all sides at some points and it can get very hectic. You can upgrade certain characters while playing which can give them better things. You can also drop supply crates and more for your players so they can defeat the oncoming zombie horde. Hordes of zombies are especially hard to defeat once they start getting upgraded stats. You can speed up or slow down time while playing to make some decisions and pre plan. You have to purchase military men by tapping on the green circles. Once you have bought them they will begin to scan the area for zombies and you can move them around as well. The sounds are very nice and also realistic. Overall, this is a great strategy game which will test your skills when it comes to defeating the zombie horde.

Graphics

The graphics in this game are very nice and look great. This game is played from a birds eye view allowing you to look around the map to scope out incoming waves of zombies and to also guide your teammates to victory. From the menu the game doesn't look like it will have any good graphics at all. But, once I got into a match I was surprised by how nice the game looked. The 3d textures look very well done and do not look blocky or low quality what so ever. Things from fire to police sirens look amazing and really add to the experience of the game. The levels as well as characters look amazing and have great attention to detail. Cities are vacant and buildings are destroyed and it really looks nice. Frames drop a tiny bit from time to time but it is nothing major. Overall the graphics are surprisingly good and I was very pleased with the look of it.

Controls

The controls in this game are pretty simple and easy to understand. Right from the start they introduce you to a little tutorial explaining how to play the game. Everything you need is usually purchased from the drop down menu on the top left side of the screen. You can purchase supply crates, reinforce the spot your team mate is in, or purchase more teammates. Moving teammates is by tapping on one of them once to highlight them, and then to double tap on one of the circles in the area. You can also slow down and speed up time by pressing the plus and minus symbols. This is best to use when planning out areas to protect. Overall, the controls are pretty easy to understand and use and I have had no problems with it at all.
