Gameplay

I've played many apps through out the years, but this is probably one of the best that I have played in a long time. In this game you play as a plane that has to fight through anti-aircraft gunships and many other enemy aircraft in order to beat the level. At the end of every level there is a boss fight and they increase in difficulty every stage that you go through. Other enemy aircraft fly in formation shooting at your aircraft and sometimes massive aircraft's and also ships appear into the level and begin shooting at you as well. When you destroy enemy aircraft and other enemy vehicles you will get stars that you can use towards upgrading your plane. The upgrades you can make towards your aircraft are health, main cannon, wing cannons, magnet, missiles, lasers, energy shields, and a mega bomb. The more you upgrade the more stars it costs so you will have to farm for stars. Stars aren't too hard to get, but they do not pop up as often which makes you have to work towards your upgrades. During levels you will find people in certain areas that are stranded. You can save them by hovering your ship over them for around 5 seconds. Saving those people will contribute to the amount of points you obtain at the end of the level. Each stage has around four medals to earn in each difficulty and unlocking the next difficulty level will need for you to require all of the medals. If you die while you play you will lose one out of the ten of your stock ships. If you lose all of your ships you will either have to wait for them to restock, which does take a while, or you can use stars to speed up the amount of time to restock them. Upgrading your aircraft also has the same timer effect which I don't really like as much. While I was playing I found that most levels unlock automatically after completing the level before, but as you play some levels will need to require things like more medals, never getting hit in any levels beforehand, or even destroying every single enemy on certain levels. This really makes you want to keep playing as it takes some skill to actually unlock things. Overall, this game was amazing to play and I would definitely recommend this game as it provides countless hours of amazing gameplay.

Graphics

The graphics in this game are amazing and look gorgeous. The art design of every map and menu looks great. The user interface is very well done and looks pretty simple and clean. You can easily navigate throughout the menus and the colors used are perfect. The environment while playing also moves and has its own life. For example, waves in the ocean move and crash into the land. When boats explode in the water the waves push outward and are actually effected by the explosion. Weather in certain levels also changes the environment while playing. Lighting brightens up the screen while winds make plants move and create huge waves. Explosions look amazing in this game as well. Everything in this game is highly detailed whether it be the aircraft's or the scenery in the background. When low on health your screen flashes red and the game gets even more intense. Exploding turrets on ships creates flames that keep burning around the ship that can possibly make it sink in the future. Animations in this game are almost near perfect and they look excellent. Particle effects look great while playing and really add to the experience. Overall this game is probably one of the best games looking games I have ever played on my phone.

Controls

The controls in this game are great and are very simple. You can chose from either tilt controls or touch controls which pleases everyone. I prefer touch controls as it's easier for me to move my aircraft around, but the tilting controls can help see oncoming enemy bombs and other bullets better while playing. If you are used to touch controls and would like to check if enemy fire is sneaking up behind you all you have to do is let go of the screen and the game will slow down letting you think of where to make your next move. Moving your aircraft on the touch screen controls is as simple as holding the screen and swiping your finger along the screen to move your aircraft up, down, left, or right. Overall the controls work perfectly for this game and they make it extremely easy for you to quickly learn the controls and also get a better use out of it while playing.
