Synopsis

Microtrip is a physics arcade game set inside the body of a strange creature. Its unique soft-body physics and the procedural generated levels make the game different and challenging every time you play.
The goal is simple: go as deep as possible. For completing such a task you need to dodge the monsters as well as eating the white cells that are keeping you alive. The game is punctuated by special pills that give the blob a weird yet amazing power. How far can you go?

Gameplay

In this game you play as a white blob that is traveling through out the insides of a creature. You basically have try to get as far down in the body as possible while obtaining points on the way. Though the points don't do anything, it's still fun to get the highest score to show off to your friends. Right when getting into the game the music sounds very upbeat and fun. As you travel down the body your blob needs white cells in order to keep him alive as his health depletes without it. The white cells also increase your score by 10 which can be very useful when trying to get a high score. There are bad cells as well which can kill you or make you lose a portion of your health. As you slowly make your way through the body there will also be organisms and other obstacles floating around which can decrease the mobility of the character and also help as well. Obstacles can range from green slimy bubbles which slow down your character to hard long celled organisms which move around to block you. The more you move down the body and increase the score the more levels you complete and unlock. As you unlock levels it changes the color of the game and also makes the game much harder. From time to time you will run into pills that will give you powers while playing. The powers range from making the blob character big and destroying everything in its path to a power that attracts white cells to you automatically. Overall this game is very fun to play on your spare time and I definitely recommend it.

Graphics

The graphics in this game are actually quite nice to look at. There are only a handful of colors used in this game. The colors are bright and vibrant and make it really look like you are inside of a body while playing. The look of the game makes it seem like a cartoon which looks kind of cool. The games is viewed from the side so that you can see the rest of the environment around you as you play. The background and the rest of the objects and organisms in the game have small amounts of detail in them so that you can easily differentiate them from the rest of the objects nearby. The animations look great while playing. Seeing the white blob slide through walls and squeeze past bubbles is kind of neat. Overall this game is very nice to look at, with vibrant colors and nice animations it really makes this game unique from the rest.

Controls

Controls in this game can vary and people will have different experiences with each control set up they choose. You can choose between tilting your phone to move the character or tapping the screen to do it. This game was built on using the tilt controls, but I have a better experience with using the touch controls. Tilt controls can be hard to use when trying to dodge enemies and such so I don't recommend you use it. Touch controls are very smooth and I have never had a problem with touch recognition. Overall, the controls are very nice with a few bugs, but tilt controls is what really didn't feel like it should have been added into the game as it provides very limited mobility while playing.
