Gameplay

ZigZag is one of the many puzzle/arcade games created by Ketchapp. This game is very fun and addicting and I had a blast playing it. It starts you out on a platform, you simply tap the screen to get started. Once you tap the screen your game begins and you have to keep tapping the screen in order to keep the ball on the zigzag platform. As you keep tapping the screen to keep the ball on the platform the score on the right corner of your screen increases. But, not only do you increase your score by tapping keeping the ball on the platform, you also get points by collecting diamonds. Each diamond you collect is worth 2 points and adds to your score. The amount of diamonds varies as everything in this game is random. As your score and progression increases the platform changes colors to distract you. The colors range from blue, green, purple, and so on and it really makes this game unique. Getting into the game is hard at first as you have to quickly tap the screen to keep the ball on the platform. I lost plenty of times which made me really annoyed, but something about this game keeps bringing me back for more. I had a blast playing this game and comparing my score with my friends to see who was the best. If you want to pass time this is a great game to play and I recommend downloading this game.

Graphics

Ketchapp is known for making awesome 2d puzzle games like this one. I really enjoyed the look of this game while playing. When starting out there is a faint light surrounding the ball creating a spotlight effect. It illuminates the areas around the ball so you can figure out where it is at all times. The colors of the platform changes once you reach 50 taps and it looks great. Changing the colors of the platform was a good idea as it adds difficulty and uniqueness to each level. When collecting diamonds pink particle effects burst from the diamond and it really looks nice. I haven't had any problems with frames and everything is nothing seemed choppy while I was playing. The shadows looks nice and I really do enjoy the look of the game. I wish they added something into the background though instead of keeping it plain white. If they did add something to the background it would increase the difficulty and I'm sure a lot of people would like it. Overall I really like what they have done graphics wise with the game and I hope to see more games like this from them soon.

Controls

Just like any other game from Ketchapp this is a tap and play game. All you have to do is tap on the screen in order to move the direction of the ball and that's all. These types of games are simple to get the hang of, but they also come with some problems as well. Just like some tap and play apps there are problems with touch recognition. As I was playing I had some problems trying to get the game to register my taps which resulted in me losing. Also the ads that they have on the game also mess with the controls as sometimes it automatically doubles taps and makes your ball fall off the platform. I haven't really noticed anything else wrong with the controls other then those two problems. This is a very simple game to play and the controls are extremely easy to get used to.
