its been a year and I have a little extra money for the holidays, should I upgrade or stay with the cards I have.

The 970 is the best value for money card out right now IMO.

Its pretty cheap [ish] and isnt far from performance to the 980.

& we always say on here, a single more powerful card is better than 2 less power full cards.
