Remove your old hdd as well. It'll make the process easier. Turn on your computer and go to the bios as soon as your computer turns on. Change the boot to your DVD drive and insert your os disk. Restart your computer. It should give you an option to install your os. Select your hdd and reformat it. Now you should be able to install your os.

Can this be done? I have a 250GB 360 Slim HDD i wanted to use it as a SSD for my PC is this possible guys

One cant simply make a HDD into an SSD [if only life was that simple...]

A HDD involves spinning disks to store data while an SSD uses flash chips to store data.

By doing the above method which you mentioned, you should be able to use it for more storage on your PC. But, you cant make it into an SSD.

Ok thanks, Will it make windows work better & load faster if i install windows 7 to my 360 Slim HDD?

Download [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] which will tell us what storage you have in your PC amongst other things.

This will let us know if adding the extra HDD in will increase performance [highly doubtful]
