Synopsis
If you have a grudge against Mother Nature, get rid of some frustration with a drive through the woods in an off-road vehicle with TEST DRIVE OFF ROAD 3. There are a total of 27 licensed vehicles to choose from including the Hummer, Ford F-150, Subaru Outback, and a variety of Jeep vehicles. When you are ready to race, take on the challenges of the World Cup mode.

Gameplay
Just like the predecessors of the Offroad series, players will race through the dirt and mud in multiple locations around the globe. The race locations will also have players race through cities as well then be back onto the dirt roads once again. Players will have to travel their way through dense forest, mud, snow, and water to get to the end of each track as well as vying for the top spot. Players will use the mini-map as a guide to aid them to getting to the end of the track, while observing along the way are shortcuts that are sure to give players an edge over the other competitors. In the world cup mode, players will race in multiple events to amass the most points. The higher the position in each race, the more points players will earn to their total combined score. Players will get to use over twenty different vehicles to race in as well as upgrade their performance in order to participate in the more challenging cup races. Players will get to race in unique locations like Tibet, Black Forest, Yucatan, Canadian Rockies, and some parts of the United States like New Orleans and Vermont.

Graphics
Just like its predecessor Test Drive Offroad 2, the graphics were similar in terms of low quality and resolution. The design of each vehicle as well as the ones that were featured in the second installment of the Offroad series marked the major difference between Offroad Three and Two. The overall appearance of the vehicles in Offroad three have greater detail and the names located on the rear of the vehicle are much clearer and readable. A unique feature that was added was when players would race through the mud and snow, all that would stain all over the vehicle giving that realistic effect to the game which players during that time would think that was a cool feature to see. The environment was also neater and didn't have that repetition of seeing the same tree over and over again. The overall landscape of each location are well designed and offers many scenic views but with the lack of quality that really limits what players can see when it comes to clarity.

Controls
The controls are nothing new to players that basically played any racing game before. The button layout for most of the controls are quite simple to recognize and really are easy to remember what button performs what action. The steering controls just like every other racing games are the left analog stick. Overall, nothing spectacular with the controls, same functions, same placement, and no major changes to the control scheme.

Rating
