I like the case and the CPU so I don't really want to change those. I already have the DVD drive, PSU and GPU. I also need to look at SSD and a new HDD.

They're alright, and I'm guessing you're building a Gaming PC? Add anything else there If you'd like advice and help.

That build is stupid for gaming IMO.

What is your budget & what other hardware do you already have [Make & model would be great]

It's not going to be used just for gaming, I need it for college with work on video editing and 2D/3D modelling, and the other parts I have are crap , except for the PSU and GPU, which is why this isn't a full build. I have around 600-700 pounds to use in this.

Help with what? You already have PSU, GPU and optical drive. You won't change case or CPU. I don't understand what you need help with? It would be useful if we knew what you plan on using the PC for, what your budget is and what you need help with.

I did say all that information above. The budget and what I will be using it for. I was needing help making sure that the parts I'v picked are actually good and if not why.

Personally, with that budget and those requirements, I'd be getting this;

ah right, cool. Would the 4790K be better than the 4820k or is it roughly the same just with a better price?

The 4790k does better on benchmarks from what I've seen and has a better single core performance than the 4820k. It's a little more expensive but I'd say it's worth it.
