I'm going to be two sided on this because I can't really give an answer.

1. Anyway, how do we know America is killing innocent civilians in the middle east?

2. How do we know they're innocent?

I spent time reading about past wars America has been in(Mainly Vietnam) and it spoke of child soldiers and suicide bombers. Basically it would be described as a child going to a soldier (asking for food or whatever the case may be) and when the soldier would approach the child, they'd set off a bomb, killing whatever's around. Reading journal entries, soldiers would be traumatized so when a child would approach, most of the time they'd resort to killing them because they'd not know what would happen(worded weirdly but you understand).

So when people say "oh all they do is kill innocent civilians" it makes me wonder: Are you there? Do you know the situation? Or are you going by assumption because other people say it?

I don't know. What do you guys think?

Unlike the majority, I'm okay with the wars. I understand they are stupid, but it's how the world works. My friend was traumatized after coming back, he was being fired at by a child soldier and saw the kid get shot in the head.. Graphic shit.

you either have to be there and witness if first hand or ask someone you know you can trust, father, mother, grandfather etc anyone you trust that was in the military and was put in a situation where they had to kill someone. Although they may not enjoy answering or even answer at all because thats not something you wanna talk about...

Anyway, its up to you as an individual to believe it or not. You believe what the truth is. Do I think they kill innocents over there? Yes, on purpose? No. There are circumstances for everything man.

The problem isn't with soldiers on the ground, I'm guessing you haven't read much into this if you think it is. It's about the drone strikes. Amnesty international and and Human rights watch did investigations into the numbers of civilian deaths from a number of air strikes from 2009 to 2013. They interviewed actual people who lost loved ones, dozens of videos and pictures of the strikes and the reports of their aftermaths. It is highly likely that more civilians have died as a result of drone strikes in the Middle East than the number of Americans who died on 9/11.

This doesn't seem like much in a war, but when this estimate is compared to the number of 'high value combatants' who have been killed as a result of drone strikes, the amount of civilian deaths are completely unacceptable. The thought that people are simply writing off human lives as collateral damage is insane.

How about we go off the great American justice system when you ask 'How do we know they're innocent?'
"Innocent until proven guilty."
You can't just go round killing people because you don't know if they're innocent or not. Profiles of every person killed by Drone strikes should be released by the NSA. If they are all terrorists, they would have nothing to hide, but obviously if you fire a bomb at a general area in which you suspect there might be a terrorist, there is going to be civilian casualties.

@BSM - Just because they're not killing innocent people on purpose doesn't mean they should keep using these drone strikes when they know that they are killing innocent people. They're turning a blind eye and pleading ignorance just because it takes US soldiers out of the line of fire.

The media only talks about the negatives of things, therefore you only hear that U.S. soldiers kill civies.

Also, you can't fight a war without collateral damage. People die, good and bad, but that is part of war.

We will never truly know unless we see them with our own eyes.

Did I say they didn't? Look up Agent Orange and guerrilla warfare.
