Synopsis
Go deep into the Australian Outback as Ty the Tasmanian Tiger. It's up to you to collect magical talismans that'll release your fellow Tasmanian Tigers from Dreamtime. Armed with your boomerangs and a nasty bite, you must outfight and outsmart Boss Cass, a big bad bird with a big bad attitude. Sharpen your boomerang, mate, and get ready for an amazing Australian adventure.

Gameplay
This game is set within "Rainbow Cliffs" that happens to be somewhere in a remote village in Australia. You play as Ty, a tiger who is the "last of his kind." You fight against an evil cassowary known as Cass and Cass is set upon the world to put the living beings within a dark realm known as the "Dreamtime" which is where Ty's family is located. Ty later figures out by collecting powerful Eggs and Talismans that he can reverse the "Dreamtime" portal that holds his once lost family and set them free!

Plot
Ty really only cares about finding and saving his family from the "Dreamtime" but, since Cass is controlling it Ty actually ends up fighting against him as well as trying to save his family. You use boomerangs as your main offense/defense attack(s). The plot of the game revolves around a power race between Ty and Cass racing to get the Eggs and Talismans for different reasons. Cass wants to imprison every living being inside the "Dreamtime" and Ty wants to free his family and friends that were already captured in the "Dreamtime."

Story
The story line to this game is quite fun and this game is actually the second in the series that I played. This game is great, using boomerangs in a game is pretty special since most games don't have that, as well as playing as a tiger! The game's story is compelling and fun from start to finish. It is well worth a play and will leave you wanting to play the other games within the series almost as soon as you finish the game. The story is also only mildly violent so that even the littler kids can play without much harm!

Graphics
The graphics of this game are great! The game was released in 2002 and for it's time, I feel as if the graphics were quite ahead of schedule. The graphical department of this game actually helped make this game better and starting the series on the right foot with the beautiful graphics. The game is set in Australia and they make it look amazing. The characters, enemies, and weapons are all nicely detailed and look great together!

Controls
The controls of this game are much like any other platform game in the fact that the controls are simple and quite easy to use. Most, if not all, should be able to pick up a controller and play this game no problem. There are simple combat controls as well as simple and easy to use controls to solve some of the puzzles throughout this game. I have no complaints about the control layouts, or as a whole!

Ratings
Gameplay - 8/10
Plot - 8.5/10
Story - 8/10
Controls - 8/10
Graphics - 8/10
Overall - 8.5/10

Personal Note: This game was the second game within the series that I actually played considering the fact that I played the second installment of this game before this one. I really should have played the first game first to get better acquainted with the play style and characters and what not, but the game is still great! I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys platform games!
