Actor Seth Rogen's new film, The Interview, which also stars his Hollywood pal James Franco, is about a plot to assassinate the enigmatic leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-un.

If the U.S. government doesn't block the movie's release, it will face "stern" and "merciless" retaliation, an unidentified spokesman for North Korea's Foreign Ministry said in state media Wednesday.

This doesn't really surprise me. What do you think about the North Korean spokesman's comments. Will North Korea really retaliate?

I think it's understandable. Kim is a dictator and he probably doesn't enjoy having a movie made in America about him being put on the spot and people trying to kill him.

That's how I see it through his eyes however. As an American, I know that nothing will happen because of the movie itself unless Kim takes action. He claims to have been wanting to, but we keep him in line for the most part.

Either way, I think we shouldn't let them do it. I think it might be against our League of Nations laws to do things like this.

Yeah, but I just find it awfully hypocritical since North Korea released a propaganda video in which a city that appears to be New York, in flames.

And that's only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to their propaganda against the U.S.

LOL! I can't believe someone would be that pissed over a comedy movie. Not gonna lie though, the movie does look stupid.

Considering they play videos of America being such a cruel country to millions of people, I think we should send copies to NK. Extra copies at that.

Oh snap. I hope he doesn't send his main man, Dennis Rodman, to rectify the problem.

Wow that sounds quite dumb in my opinion. Why would someone get offended over a movie?

I will never understand why North Korea likes to pretend like they are a super power.
