Gameplay
The game features a story mode playable from two different perspectives. The perspectives consist of one from the DC Universe and the other from the Mortal Kombat side. Each perspective is split into it's own chapters. Depending on the players choice of side, you must battle those from the other perspective throughout the story. The story is lacking background and information for some characters (more than just a few) and the game felt a little rushed. However, it is still a great game.

Plot
This game does not follow from other Mortal Kombat games, it takes an all new spin off within this game. After Shao Kahn's invasion of the Earth is halted by Raiden and his forces of light, Raiden blasts and sends Kahn through a portal. However, at the same time Superman stops Darkseid's invasion and sends him into a boom tube. Both attacks from both characters fall short as it doesn't kill the characters, but, actually causes Kahn and Seid to merge into "Dark Kahn" therefore uniting both universes in one foul swoop. Each character has their weaknesses and strengths making for some pretty interesting fights within this game.

Story
The story of this game is actually pretty interesting and fun. They mix a world of utter combat, with Mortal Kombat, and mix a somewhat peaceful super-being race, with DC. The story they tell in the game is pretty interesting and fun to listen to as you play along. The fight scenes share some MK gore, but some DC humor and beautiful graphics. It's a very interesting game from start to finish, and quite a long game with all the game modes and what not all within this game.

Graphics
The graphics within this game are a little lacking in the fact that even though they are cartoonish, they could be a lot better. Maybe they wanted to make the game look the way that it does, but I would have focused just a little bit more on the graphics and kept the characters true personality and clothing and what not in check instead of trying to merge the worlds with somewhat the same graphics. Don't get me wrong, the graphics are nice and all, just not as great as they could have possibly been.

Controls
The controls within this game are similar to most other fighting games and therefore anyone that happens to have played any other fighting games should be able to pick up a controller and play this game no problem. The controls are simple with easy attacks. There are light, heavy, supers, and throws and all the buttons attached to those commands work nicely together and if learned in depth can be used to preform some pretty outstanding combos and what not while fighting, putting that particular fight in your favor.

Multiplayer
There is head to head multiplayer where two to four opponents can go up against each other, either in head to head or tag teams. The online game mode portion of this game can be quite entertaining and fun to fight another person rather than AI, but it can also be annoying if you aren't the best at fighting games. Very fun all in all, and I would recommenced that you try it out if you think you have what it takes.

Ratings
Gameplay - 8/10
Plot - 7.5/10
Story - 8/10
Controls - 8.5/10
Graphics - 7/10
Multiplayer- 8/10
Overall - 7.5/10

Personal Note: This game is actually a really different and fun fighting game. If you are a fan of either DC or Mortal Kombat or maybe both, you' really enjoy this game. It is fun through and through, and is actually pretty interesting to see super heros fighting Mortal Kombat characters. Worth a try in my opinion.
