Gameplay
Following the same installments and deviations of previous games, players control a new protagonist, Nick Ramos in third person. They start the game searching for food, weapons, armor, new crafting recipes, all in a crazy attempt to survive the zombies. The open world game is vast, much bigger than any of the previous installments of this series and the player can render 3 times as many zombies on screen as ever before. Another new feature is the ability to save anywhere instead of in bathroom stalls as in previous installments. Lastly, the game doesn't have load times and is also equipped with a "Nightmare Mode" for players that want the original timed, toilet saving experience of the Dead Rising series.

Plot
Dead Rising 3 takes place ten years after the events of the last game. The story follows a young mechanical engineer named Nick Ramos, and his attempt to survive through this zombie outbreak. The setting of this game is within the fictional city of Los Perdios, California. The game begins three days after the initial outbreak where Nick is on the bridge outside the city going towards a quarantine zone to find some food or supplies. He quickly left the quarantine as zombies started to pour into the quarantine area! You later meet up with Dick (truck driver) and your boss, Rhonda. You find Dick arguing with Annie over being an "illegal" people who are infected and refused to be chipped by the government. After they meet they are seeing other survivors all around them being slaughtered by zombies in which case they all run to the auto shop where you work and set up a barricade/HQ and try and fend off the zombies there, in the meanwhile of events happening within the auto shop they find a working TV where the news is talking about the army bombing the city in 6 days time to rid the infection from the city (also killing any survivors that are within the city.) They end up rigging a vehicle to get out and drive to a military checkpoint, but on the way they are attacked by a biker gang in which this sequences a mini boss fight and you end up killing them and their leader where Nick then has a breakdown because this was the first human life he had ever taken, Rhonda reassures him that his services didn't go out for nothing and that if he hadn't of done what he did, they all would have died.

Story
The story within this game is quite thrilling and somewhat like the other games within this series, but different and in a good way! You aren't really timed like you were before to complete the campaign and any side missions you might have wanted to do in a certain set time limit. This is definitely a next generation game in the fact of the graphics, and amount of zombies rendered on screen at a certain period of time, etc This game is well worth the money and will be a thrilling game with many many hours of things to do for veterans of the series or new comers that are looking for something new!

Graphics
The graphics of this game are really dark and dismal, all the while keeping a cartoonish feel to the game. The game and zombies within it look very nice and scary like they are supposed to, as well as keeping most weapons and vehicles looking realistic and what not. The graphical department of this game did a very nice job designing the game and everything in it.

Controls
The controls of this game are like most other third person shooter/hack and slash games. They did well on the controls and they feel as if they are meant to be with what the developer set them to be. All the buttons flow nicely as well as no buttons being un used. Very easy to use control system.

Multiplayer
There is online co-op within this game, seamlessly except for the exception of a explicit single player mode. It offers two player online co-op for you and a friend in Casual, Completionist, Speed Run, and Hardcore. Other players can be asked to join your game or you can be asked to join there's at any time while playing alone, or you can choose to start the game from a co-op multiplayer experience.

Ratings
Gameplay - 8.5/10
Plot - 9/10
Story - 8.5/10
Controls - 8/10
Graphics - 9/10
Multiplayer- 8.5/10
Overall - 9.5/10

Personal Note: This game is actually really fun and the designers and developers of this game should earn their paychecks with this one. This game has a really convincing story line with a pretty amazing twist at the end without spoiling anything special or important. This game is a must play for a new player or a series veteran. Well worth the money in my opinion.

This game is amazing. I have played though it 3+ times and have over 500k zombie kills. Just wish the DLC wasnt so bad and the story a little bit longer.
