My school decided recently to change the schedule to, instead of ending at three, like most other schools, they changed the ending time to FIVE. FIVE.

They recently decided to change the schedule because there was one other option; going for another week.

Okay, for starters, I wouldn't mind going another week. I'm still a little suprised there was no vote on this, because from now on, until April 30th, school ends at five. The periods are twice as long, and I'm suprised that they kept lunch. It was so short, I had time to eat half of my fries before I had to go.

Really irresponible decision IMO.

That seems a bit extreme. There are talks around my school about making up some days on Saturdays.

Same in Bibb County schools, they are trying to make us go to school for saturdays for 3 weeks.

I would just not show up, or leave at the usual time. I for sure would not go on Saturdays.

I would have taken the extra week. My school one year had like 6 or 7 snow days, and they can only have 3 a year. We went to school for an extra week. The principle had a school wide poll. The poll voted an extra week.

That is really really stupid. I have an extra week due to snow days, but ending at FIVE? That's soooo ridiculous!

In reality, I think you rather spend 2 extra hours a day than take a week out of your summer vacation.

I never had to really worry about anything like this, because it doesn't snow where I live.

That sucks though, im sure they had to make up more than just 1 week at the end.

They have to get through all of the curriculum though.

Woah we had around 8 snow days. We had April 7th (I think), Presidents Day, and a two days at the end of the school year to make up for snow.
