Genre: Sports
Players: Single-Players, multiplayer

Synopsis

4th and goal from the trash can, McNabb's your man behind center, Vick's out wide, and The Fridge isn't just in the backfield, he is the backfield. As you scroll through your playbook, you can run a double reverse to Must-See Mike, call an option with Donovan and the big man from the Midway, or maybe even a running back pass to show off the Fridge's arm. These are the types of decisions that make NFL Street so fun, and to make things better, no matter what play you draw up in the sand, the game is so much about improvisation, laterals, flea flickers, and Gamebreakers, the play you pick in the huddle is never quite run to design, and that's a good thing, a very good thing. Your option pitch might run your back straight into a wall or chain-link fence if you flip it too wide. You'll encounter wheels rolling through the field, or junkyard as the case may be, watermelons and crates to smash, benches to knock over, and some of the most over-the-top, outrageous razzle-dazzle triple lateral, double fumble touchdowns ever seen in a football game.

Gameplay

While NFL Street may be different the than all the other NFL games, it's really not. It takes smart plays and being able to maneuver around the field like a cheetah. As you may see in other NFL games like, Madden. They were jerseys and helmets, etc. NFL Street on the other hand is totally different. NFL Street characters wear street clothing, no helmets, no cleats, etc. But you will see some of the players wear street jerseys. Like in Madden games you have fouls and rules. NFL Street has really no rules. This is what makes this game live up to it's name. You may have played a football game before and hurt your CQ or other player, but in this game there are no injuries. So this allows you to run your team all the way. You can earn points by making fun of or taunting the other team or showing off. This can help your team also. When you get enough style points you get what is called a "Gamebreaker". It will last the entire play. It pretty much makes you unstoppable that drive. When you get a Gamebreaker on the offense it allows you to pass to teammates and score easier or plow through the defense. On the other hand, if you get it while on defense you can run through the offense's blockers and cause fumbles or a turnover. You can cancel a Gamebreaker by running out of bounds.

Game Modes

Within the game itself you have different game modes you can play in.
  • Quick Match - With this mode, you and your opponent have the ability to pick 2 teams and go head to head.

  • Pick-up Game - This is basically the same thing as a quick match, but you and your opponent get to choose from a pool of 40 players. So you're not getting random players on a team.

  • NFL Challenge - This mode is where you can unlock different stadiums, characters, jerseys, etc. by completing different challenges that you face within the game.

  • All NFL Pick-Up - To be able to unlock this mode you have to complete all everything within the NFL Challenge mode. Once this mode is unlocked you can choose any players when facing an opponent.

Graphics

Since the games is over 10 years old the graphics are not going to be good compared to the graphics we are used to seeing now. But the graphics are pretty good for the game being made in 2004. While out on the field that you're on you can see an actual stadium or detailed buildings around you. The uniforms are very easy to see and find out what team the player is from. You can see the detailed body structure, whether the players is big, tall, short, skinny, etc. The football is always colorful. There are various places to play.

Controls

The controls are pretty easy to get used to. If you have ever played any kind of sports game you'll know that the abx y buttons are always something you throw the object to. You operate and move around very easily with the left thumbstick. You can show off or taunt the other team by using the triggers on the back, which are very easy and comfortable being that your fingers are already on the triggers. You can easily choose plays using the d-pad.

As you play you'll notice in this game, the players are 2003 NFL roster. You wil also see some older players as Legends you can unlock.
