Info
Title: Blades of Time
Genre: Action, Adventure
Developer: Gaijin Entertainment Corporation
Publisher: Gaijin Entertainment Corporation
Release Date: 21 Apr 2012

Synopsis
Ayumi, the gorgeous gun and sword-wielding treasure hunter, sets out on a journey to an ancient island in search of new adventures. While rich in bounty, the island is also filled with the magic of Chaos, being at the same time home to blood thirsty monsters. With a host of colorful characters, eye-popping visual appeal, tons of treasure and a huge variety of combat skills to master, Blades of Time will bring just as much fun and satisfaction both to gamers that are new to the action adventure genre and to experienced players.

Gameplay
This game is directed towards the younger gamer due to the simplicity of the navigational menu's and the ease of play while in game. It is all very easy to understand and read where to go. Although it's not my type of game, i enjoyed playing it for the amount of time i did. I've put in about 14 hours into this game and still find it very fun to play when i fire it up. It is very scripted but this was to be expected with a fantasy game, 9 times out of 10 they are all very scripted. Overall a very user friendly game. Like I said, this isn't my type of game at all, but I did get into it after a while, and I can say that i did have fun. It's a strange game to play and to easy for the like of me, as I'm more into the harder strategy games.

Graphics
The graphics are really nice to look at in this game, I was expecting the usual 2D textures with no colors, but they have really pulled it off, like really. All the textures are nice 3D with deep colors for that real to life sense of play. When walking around the gameplay is as smooth as anything you've ever felt before, and it's not even a hard game to run, some laptops could run this game with ease. The character models are very nice to look at with great body structure which is odd for a game like this as you're usually looking at a 2D shape that moves around, but I'm really impressed with these. The last thing that helps is the camera movement, it really facilitates you for swift action and movement, I've played games with bad camera movement, and that was horrible to play in action scenes.

Controls
The controls are one of the best parts of this game, with very easy to master controls it put the user friendliness back into play, I had to change a few buttons round to suit my gaming style, but I have to do this on every game i play now. So this wasn't an issue for me at all, the default layout is very nice to learn and get used to as everything is where you would expect it to be, in combat clicking MOUSE1 or MOUSE2 is all you need to win a fight with the WASD for movement, and like I said before, the camera really helps in this situation. These controls are very user friendly due to this game being directed to the younger audience, and they have to be for them to pick the controls up just after the intro scene.
