Info
Title: Nuclear Dawn
Genre: Action, Strategy
Developer: InterWave Studios
Publisher: Iceberg Interactive
Release Date: 26 Sep 2011

Synopsis
Nuclear Dawn is the first game to offer a full FPS and RTS experience, within a single gameplay model, without crippling or diluting either side of the game.
As a soldier, explore war-torn post-apocalyptic landscapes, modelled on modern cities, and take the fight to your enemies as armoured, assault or stealth infantry, using various weapons across ten distinct load-outs to accomplish your objectives. The first person shooter action in Nuclear Dawn is hard, fast and unforgiving, with weapons that rely on skill and tactics more than on twitch reflexes and map memorization.

Gameplay
The gameplay was very surprising to me, I had never heard of this title before i got it in a pack of Steam codes. But I had to try it out. I saw someone playing it on Youtube and it looked very fun. And I can tell you it is very fun. It still says it's in Beta but it's pretty smooth. This game is directed to the more laid back person who wants to play an FPS game. It's an online only game so single player is out of the question. And the great thing about it, it that there is a "Tutorial" mode for if and when the player gets stuck on what to do. It's also a nice practice range so you can get used to the controls.

Graphics
The graphics are fantastic, offering rich color tones with very deep black tones, these help when looking into direct sun light and/or shadows. The transitions are perfect no lag or tearing is visible. The graphics are very smooth and relatively easy to run. I was achieving a stable 60FPS on the maximum graphical settings. But the graphics are overall perfect in this game and not to vibrant as sometimes in games they are way to over saturated, but they hit the nail on the head with this one. Nice work...

Controls
The controls are standard for any modern day first person shooter game, I respect them for this as they could have changed it around a bit, but they just stuck with the default layout that everyone knows and loves. The only things i had to map different was the Reload button as i have that as BUTTON4 on my mouse. The default sensitivity is awful, very slow. But that is a very easy fix. Just turn it up.
