Synopsis:
Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus is the sequel to Abe's Oddysee, following Abe's quest to rescue all 300 Mudokon workers from the corrupt Glukkons' Soulstorm Brewery.

Plot:
Abe's Exoddus follows on straight after Abe's Oddysee with Abe standing in front of the 99 mudokons that was saved by him in Rupture farms.
Abe falls of the stage he was stood on and has a vision of 3 mudokon spirits informing him that the Glukkons are using mudokon slaves to exhume mudokon bones at Necrum, the burial grounds of the ancient mudokons.
Abe with 5 other mudokons travel across the desert of Oddworld and infiltrate Necrum mines where Abe is then separated from his friends.
Abe then has to save the mudokon spirits and 300 living mudokons along the way of stopping the Glukkons.

Gameplay:
Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus is a 2D platformer that gives you control of Abe once again. You have to do the same as you did in the last Oddworld which is utilize what abilities you have which are Creeping, walking, running, jumping, crouching/rolling, talking, and chanting to control a variety of your enemies.
Unlike the last Oddworld where you only had checkpoints this Oddworld actually allows you to save. Another different thing that has changed as well would be that you can tell more than one mudokon to follow you now which is a relief since it was annoying getting one mudokon at a time following you.
The mudokons what you have to save in this Oddworld game have different emotional states and some are actually blind. There are also sick mudokons which you can only heal with a special chant.
Also unlike in the Oddysee you can control the paramite and the scarab species with your chants although you can make them explode like the sligs.
There is also another ability in Exoddus where you can drink the Soul Storm Brew and when you fart it will have a detonation timer and when it's up it will explode, you can also chant to control the fart and make it explode where ever you want by chanting again.
There are a couple of new enemies you'll encounter in the Oddworld not many but a few, the main enemies though are still the sligs.

Graphics:
The graphics of Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus is virtually the same as Abe's Oddysee although they have improved a bit but that isn't bad since it was made only one year after Oddysee was made, which in my opinion still makes it have outstanding graphics for it's time. Yet again the cut scenes in the game are amazing and better than before in my opinion. It is really a joy to play this game with the graphics it has, especially since most old game are put off since people don't like the graphics.

Controls:
The controls are still the same as they were in Abe's Oddysee and I can't recall if they added anything new in except the fact you can control more than just sligs now but the buttons for the other creatures you control is just like controlling a slig tbh. The speaking is virtually the same in this game except you don't really speak into machines with sligs that often, you do with the Glukons but it's normally to one word so it is really easy to remember.

My Ratings:
Plot:8/10
Gameplay:9/10
Graphics:9/10
Controls:8/10
Overall:9/10
