Synopsis
Chaser is a first-person shooter action video game developed by Cauldron. The game is built on the CloakNT 3D engine. Unlike many contemporary science fiction first-person shooters like Halo: Combat Evolved, Pariah, WarPath, and Unreal Tournament 2004, Chaser's weapons fire modern day projectiles. It was released on Steam and GOG.com in 2011.

Gameplay
This game starts of with a very lengthy intro, I was starting to think that it was just a film it went on for so long. They may have well just played the game for me as it explained most of it in just the intro, but oh well. now this is a slow paced FPS, slow in the way of easy to get lost with no pointers in the right direction. That bit annoyed me for around 30 minutes while i had to find my was and trace my steps. I must have been walking around in circles for approximately 15 minutes, until i found a lift type of thing that takes you to the next stage up. But finding that was hard. Now I usually like games like this, where nothing is just given to you and you HAVE to find everything yourself, but this was just to slow for me.

Graphics
Now the graphics are quite good for a game of this size, since it was only a 1.35GB download, i was expecting Minecraft level graphics, but I was very wrong, the images the CloakNT engine can produce are brilliant, the textures of the guns and walls are bang on. But the models of the people are terrible, it's like a cross between Halo and CoD. They have good movement but are all in space suits of some kind, but everything seem well out of place. The background images of Earth are really good to, very highly detailed.

Controls
The controls are the only simple and easy to learn thing about this game, they are the standard FPS controls which i like, you can get used to them within minutes, whether you play PC regularly or not. They are very easy to pick up. You can map each and every button using the in game button mapper, which is a neat touch for a cheaper game, you don't see that in most. But the fact that it is included and very easy to use is a great feature.

Only get this game if you like strategy FPS games, which i do mostly, that's why i got it. But it's a bit like marmite, you'll either love it or hate it!
