Gameplay
Cities XL is one of those games where you need a couple of hours to get started on. It's very slow going, this has it's good and bad points, the good points are you can come back to it at any point and carry on from where you left off, also it having an almost infinite time of play. The bad points come in the ways of after long gaming sessions, it does start to get repetitive and then boring, but the people that play these types of game aren't looking for long gaming sessions, it's more directed towards people who want a small game time while waiting for things or for the kids to play. So in that sense, it's brilliant. But not for me.

Graphics
The graphics in this game are surprisingly very very good, the terrain and building quality are great, very well laid out to. The balance between smoothness and detail is perfect to, it plays extremely smooth. this game needs good graphics to make it playable really as it can get quite boring. But it's a great game for the person that wants a quiet gaming session. This isn't a very hard game to run, but you might have to lower the quality of the game if you want to achieve smooth frame rates.

Controls
The controls are pretty self explanatory. they're fully customizable and it gives in game guides while playing and unlocking new features. This is really good to play with a mouse and keyboard as you have all the features in front of you, but the biggest problem is remembering all of the buttons and what they do. But there's not much else i can add to this part, apart from that you can use your own mapping if you needed to.

Ratings
Gameplay: 7/10

It would be 9/10, but it does get a little boring after a while. But it's a nice game to play nonetheless.
