The answer to your question, as the user said above, is no you will not receive an extra copy to gift.

No, you won't get an extra copy of the game. That's how Steam functions with bundles.

kind of sucks with steam and the bundles, by the way if you plan on using a controller with those GTA games you have to map it all out yourself apart from GTA 4 (that works fine)

Are you sure he won't receive an extra copy? I owned Half-Life 2 and then I bought The Orange Box, after that Steam said I could gift HL2 to a friend of mine (which I did)

Well I had Left for Dead already but then bought a valve pack which also included left for dead and I never got a copy to send/gift. Not in my inventory or anything its just gone.
Maybe its changed as this was about a year ago for me and if enough people have complained then steam may have sorted it out.

You won't get an extra copy, you'll just have two of them in your game libary. Would be cool though .

Yea but seems stupid to not being able to gift or sell something you own! especially when you have 2 of the same item.
