Plug a play and charge kit into your controller and the other end of the kit is a usb to plug that into your laptop/pc and boom!. Everytime i've used the play and charge kit i've been able to use my 360 controller on my laptop. Hope it works!

Yeah I think you can do it with a Play and charge kit, you can pick them up really cheap!

No it doesn't, all the play and charge kit would do is charge as it was coded to do so. The only way you're going to use an Xbox controller that wireless on the PC is by purchasing a receiver for it. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

like the guy said above me you can only use a xbox controller if you have a receiver.

I'll clear this up a plug and play kit won't work it only sends power to the controller nothing else..

heres what I've used for about the past year. You can probably find one cheaper i just pulled up a basic model

Play and charge kit works. Plug one end into the controller and the usb side into the PC and it works fine for me. Pretty hand to be honest.

You will need to buy a receiver to do that they are nor expensive.
