This usually happens when you first join the site and get really addicted and think that the site is basically just a message board where you can post useless things and try not to look like a noob. But in reality, I admit to doing this, I remember when I first joined the site I was really excited to start posting I went nuts. Now I try to put a lot of detail and effort into my posts.

I made a thread pretty much saying the same thing, but I was talking about the pointless threads themselves. I'll be honest, I try to make my posts as useful/helpful as possible whenever I can. Yea from time to time I make the random post just to get me closer to what I want to achieve, but honestly, everyone does that.

It's just annoying when it gets out of hand and it becomes something out of the ordinary like constantly posting random posts/threads just to get that post count up. Quality over quantity any day.

I agree, it really bugs me when I see people posting short little 4 word replies to every single post, just to get a post count.

They mostly all get dealt with sooner or later though.

Ive always posted something i haven't just made it random i commented something that made sense ;)

I can name more people that do that than I care to mention. It bugs me as well. They're mostly on giveaways where you see "I'm not entering but I just want to say thank you for the giveaway"

The way I look at it, if I can't put my thoughts out there in a constructive way, or humorous way I don't.

In other words since I most post on rants if I can't make my one sentence thought into multiple lines, then I choose not to post.

There is no reason making your comment so short that everyone will read it, make it longer and more iintriguing, and only the important people will read it.

My words mean more to me than the post number...

Alot of people do it but you really know somebody does it when the have like 1000 posts with 30 rep power
