Synopsis
Battlefield 3 is a first-person shooter video game developed by EA Digital Illusions CE and published by Electronic Arts. It is a direct sequel to 2005's Battlefield 2, and the eleventh installment in the Battlefield franchise. The game was released in North America on 25 October 2011 and in Europe on 28 October 2011 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.[4] EA Mobile also confirmed a port for the iOS platform. The game sold 5 million copies in its first week of release,[5] and received critical acclaim from most game reviewers. It is the first game in the series that does not support versions of Windows prior to Windows Vista as the game only supports DirectX 10 and 11.[6] The PC version is exclusive to EA's Origin platform,[7] through which PC users also authenticate when connecting to the game. The game's sequel, Battlefield 4, was released on October 29, 2013.

Gameplay
Battlefield 3 is one of the most intense first person shooter games out. This game contains three features Multiplayer, Campaign, and Coop. This game is absolutely crazy realistic and fun to play. There 4 classes in Multiplayer; Assualt, Support, Engineer, and Recon. All of the classes in this game have there own special guns and there own abilities to help out there team. In the multiplayer the player can fly vehicles, drive vehicles and do more.In the campaign it makes you feel as you were in war in the middle of it all. It is a cliff hanging story with great missions all round. In coop you dont play the story with your friend, you play little tiny missions like holding off in a city, providing cover support for teammates, and going on stealthy missions. All maps are interactive in all of these features; shooting/blowing up a wall will cause the wall to break or blow up completely, making craters in the ground, and making vehicles all messed up. Amazing gameplay, few bugs, one of the best war games to play. Definitely would recommend if you like action games.

Plot
Set in 2014 Sargent Blackburn leads a five man squad to locate, find and securely return a US investigating squad who could be at a chemical weapon site. Blackburn later, him and his squad get sent to Tehran to approach a high valued target called Al-Bashir. Then Blackburn and his team learn that the PLR had access to Russian portable nuclear weapons. Soon an incident happens and Blackburn and his squad get captured. Later, Blackburn manages to catch Al-Bashir and they realize that Solomon has betrayed them and realizes his plot to detonate the nukes in Paris and New York before dying. Thats all im going to say for the plot as I dont wont to give away the story for you. Overall the Plot is great and fun missions in it too.

Graphics
The graphics in Battlefield 3 are the best for this kind of game. The guns, maps, and vehicle graphics are highly detailed and are the best graphics I have seen in awhile. Frostbite Engine 2 Added a new animation feature in the game used in sports games, but Battlefield made it adapt more to a realistic solider with the ability to transition in to cover and turn the head before the body. As I talked about in the gameplay the maps are interactive. Well when shooting the wall and seeing debris fall everywhere its really neat and interesting to see. Every explosion with anything is highly detailed. The environment on each map like sand, water, and grass is great. All color corrections are perfect for every map and aren't to bright or aren't to dark. Overall The graphics in Battlefield 3 are great really no improvements need to made at all.

Controls
The controls in Battlefield 3 are simple and easy to learn. If you play Call of Duty a lot then this games controls will take sometime to learn. The controls are basically completely opposite from Call of Duty. From LB to throw grenades to using DPAD to choose all your abilities and weapons. It is so simple to use when you get use to the controls. Every button has its own controls and very few buttons have multiple controls. Everything is well laid out and it is not confusing at all. A eight year old boy could probably learn them there that easy. Overall really good controls, I found no problems with them at all.

Rating
Synopsis 8/10
Gameplay 9/10
Graphics 10/10
Controls 9/10
Overall 9/10

Battlefield 3 took me a few days to really buy into. But once I finally figured it out, it became a better game. The campaign isn't all the impressive, but when you invest in Battlefield, you're investing in multiplayer. And despite the noticeably lower graphics quality between the consoles and the cutting-edge PC version, the lower player support, and smaller maps... well, Battlefield 3 still shines. The biggest reason being the customization each class can have as you rank up and unlock new gear. Add that on top of superb vehicular combat and an equally-valuable infantry approach, and you have something that Modern Warfare 3 wishes it had: dynamics.
