Synopsis
Featuring thousands of ruthless weapon combinations and a robust skill system, Spartacus Legends delivers a variety of tools for gamers to customize their gladiators and dismember their foes. Gamers will be able to fight as Spartacus, Crixus or one of their own created gladiators as they battle with friends offline or in online multiplayer to join the ranks on the worldwide leaderboards.

Gameplay
If your a fan of the Spartacus series, then this game should be up your alley.Inflicting damage to your opponent with a variety of weapons ranging from swords, hammers, spears, tridents, and even fighting unarmed.The game features 6 different locations to fight from which consists of 6 boss matches that are unlocked by beating multiple mini-bosses in that certain location..Each location is unlocked when reaching a certain rank.By winning and executing your opponent, you earn your gladiator perks which could aid you in future battles,giving you an edge over your opponent.By purchasing newer armor and weaponry, your gladiator's stats and threat level increase as well as your opponents, making it more difficult.Upon beating all 6 bosses, the game resets and your opponents stats have increased drastically,becoming more and more difficult every time you beat the game.

Graphics
The graphics in Spartacus Legends are decent.The faces of the bosses you fight against are really great and resembles the people that portrayed the characters in the Spartacus series.The pixels could have been better on the crowd since the faces are mostly a blur.Upon from that,the texture of the stages you fight in aren't the greatest either.The stages seem a bit plain.Like the background for example,if the background is mostly blurred, at least the developers could have done a better job at making the things closer to the area of where the fighting is taking place more clearer and less blotchy.The overuse of brown really drowns most of the stages also.The stages could have been created better if a variety of colors were used instead of mostly brown or any color thats resembles a shade of brown.

Online Multiplayer
The multiplayer isn't really the best since there are many downfalls to this.Being that the game lags during an online match.You also lose connection to the servers frequently which results in losing your gladiator since it classifies you as quitting early.In order to play Spartacus Legends, the Spartacus Legends servers have to be active or else you can't play any online matches or even single player at all which is a bust.Combos are difficult to perform also due to lag and the combination of your attacks will be out of synch.Updates have been made to fix several issues to the game and has improved the servers from lagging more frequently.Along with the latest update,a tournaments mode has been added that for a month.By participating in the monthly tournament,you earn points depending on how well your performance was during the match.At the end of each week,you earn exclusive items like weapons,armor,a banner emblem,silver and gold depending on what your rank is during the tournament.

Controls
The controls are quite easy to figure out after a while as the controls are really basic.But to perform some wicked moves, you would need to perform multiple attack combinations that could really bring out the best of what the game is meant to be played.To perform some unique moves or combinations,your required to either hold down 2 different buttons (A,X) or (X,Square),depending on what console your playing on.Or you have to hold the left analog stick in either the up,down,or opposite direction of your opponent following 2-4 different button combinations after.With each fighting style,the controls will be different when performing certain attacks.When it comes to the light attacks being dealt,it's easy to just spam the X and Square button multiple times over and over.Barely having the time to block the incoming attack due to the speed of your opponent which pretty much kills the whole purpose of the game itself.It's best to show the variety of moves that can perform rather than being repetitive.
