As of today i have hit 10,000 posts and the rank of TTG Elite. It's actually a little hard to believe that i have this many posts, it feels like not too long ago at all when i first joined the site, my years here have simply flew by i guess. Throughout my time here i have met some great people and have enjoyed my time in this community to my fullest, the most of you are really nice and share similar interests to me and all of the other members which i find to be a great thing and i hope it remains like this for many years to come. There may be some exceptions to this such as James- and NASA but they are cool guys in their own way. I have to admit that i have not always been the best member, in the past i would tend to break the rules a fair bit and lets just say that i regret it. But as of lately i like to think that i have made a change for the better and began to build myself a future on this site.

Well.. I think a story is long overdue as i haven't really made a milestone topic since 5000 posts. So bear with me as i attempt to write a few paragraphs

https://www.thetechgame.com/images/chat/smiles/sheep.png Happy now Hilton?

Story

I first joined The Tech Game back in January of 2011, i was 14 at the time and school holidays where almost over for Australia. I had taken an interest in modding the Xbox 360 in 2010 and decided to try and find a place where i can further my knowledge on the topic. After doing a quick Google search and looking at a few sites The Tech Game was the one which caught my eye the most. With a seemingly friendly community and an appealing site layout that stood out above its competitors. I honestly only lurked around for 20 minutes before signing up and making an account under the username of iantaylor86, making my First Post a few hours later (the leeching for 10th lobbies came in my second post). I was actually generally active on the site when i first joined, hitting 100 posts around a week later on the 31st of January. It was weird really.. back then i was having some social problems when it came to school and people where much nicer to me on the site then they where in real life, making me feel a sense of attachment to this site. After that i really just kept posting on the site frequently, contributing to conversations and learning more every day. I met a few people that i talked to now and then but i was mainly playing Modern Warfare 2 back then and stuck to people i knew in real life. I hit 1000 posts a few months after that and had my parents purchase gold membership for me, changing my name to TTG_Gold4you. A few months after that in June i stopped playing first person shooters seriously and moved away from the Xbox 360 modding scene.

After exploring other parts of the site i stumbled across the extra links tab, from that came the Shoutbox. The bottomless pit of fgts that ttg would just not be the same without. Of course, being relatively new to the site i was one of those guys who took the shoutbox a little too seriously at first but over time i started to adapt a little better. After visiting frequently i made a few friends who i would talk to on a daily basis, the only one i can remember being -Cam-. Back then i can honestly aspired to be a top poster, trying to model myself off members such as Ant, A_Small_Forest, Violator, G_Man and Zoidberg. Somewhere in that 2 week time frame i was gifted gold for the first time and changed my name to iaaaan and at the very end of July i hit 2000 posts. After that point school started getting a little more difficult and with Skyrim and Modern Warfare 3 on the horizon i started dropping in and out of activity. I started watching Anime at the end of 2011 and my activity just died all together for a while, entering my much embarrassing weeaboo state for a total of 4 months. That was until April of 2012 when i reached 3000 posts. After becoming active for a while i met a fair few people that i constantly talk to even now. The first one being Frog, the first thing he ever said to me was that he likes my posting style and we just became friends from there. The others being members that i met through the anime sticky located in Television and movie talk. Activez-, Gishki, wowmanshark, De4nz, Waifu and Nasa. Literally all i can remember from this point to June of 2013 is dropping in and out of activity, posting on the anime discussion, reaching 4000 posts (i have no idea when) and changing my name to Katsumi.

Some time in June of 2013 i actually decided to become active again on The Tech Game and attempt to make a name for myself on this site. It took me around a week to reach 5000 posts and i made this milestone topic. For some weird reason i remembered the shoutbox and actually decided to visit it for the first time in over a year. My shout was something along the lines of "[Link] Please congratulate me on this topic", and i got some unexpected replies. The first being from Zoidberg saying "congratulations" (which was weird seeming that he was a member that i used to look up to) and the second being from a TDK (which was even more weird, a global moderator talking to me was something totally new) saying "sorry, but i don't know you", in which i replied "Yeah.. i haven't been very active over the past 6 months, i plan to start coming on here more again though". Checking my topic a few minutes later i found that Zoidberg, TDK saying 'we all hope to see you more active' (which was a big thing to me), Frog, Nyan, Pomf, Centurial and all of my anime mates had commented on my thread. As well as members such as r00t, Naggy, Mortar, McNuggets and Tomorrow_Land who thanked the topic. Even though this may seem a little lame having all of these 'renowned' members congratulating me was a huge thing in my mind and from there i decided to start actively posting.

A few days later i had a good chat with my friend Tomorrow_Land who further motivated me to start posting regardless of how many warnings i had and taught me a few things which i took into account. As well as Nasa, who simply told me that i wont get any more warnings as long as i simply don't be stupid (and how true that piece of advice is.). I read the rules, memorized them and eventually got to know them like the back of my hand and started on my fun filled journey to 10,000 posts. Since that point i have been active on this site, visiting the shoutbox almost daily (while i tend to be quiet at most times i do enjoy the shenanigans that take place there) and getting to know the majority of active members on the site, adding most of them onto my friends list while joining forever pending on the friends list of James-. I kept hitting my posting Milestones and set goals for myself which i intended to reach without spamming (hopefully i have done that for the most part) and somewhere along the way reached the rank of MVC+, before you guys wonder where my milestone topics are from then to now i am not a big fan of them and only plan to make them every 5000 posts or when hippie decides to promote me to administrator (you know you want to). After a while i was honestly surprised, having not incurred any warnings since i have became active again (following the rules was a lot easier then i made it out to be), adding many great people to my friends list and even playing Xbox with a few staff members. It has been a great experience and i hope to stay with The Tech Game for many years to come, having it being my favorite site at the moment

Now i am here. Having spent the last 2 hours typing this milestone post while trying to recall my history on The Tech Game. Waifu plotting against TTG even now, while i will have an official thanks list (which is going to take me another hour to write) i would like to thank absolutely everybody. From the site owner TTG Sean, to our newest member who has only joined a few minutes ago. You have all been a fundamental part of my TTG experience and the reason that i am here now. I currently have 10,000 posts and it is only up from here, i plan to continue being active on The Tech Game and continue meeting new people along the way while conversing with my now well acquainted friends.

Thanks for reading and i will see you guys around

Thanks List

Well.. i think you guys should more think of this as a special thanks list. I would like to first thank every single member on this site for helping me get where i am now, without you guys the site would be absolutely nothing and because of all your friendly attitudes i feel a connection to this site and feel as though i can come back here every day. To me you are just as important as the people i have listed below, so if you're not here keep that in mind.

Frog - You have to be one of my best mates on The Tech Game and you totally didn't ask me to put you on the top. I have known you since around 3,000 posts and you are a big reason in why i am still here now. Thanks so much for everything you have done and good luck in everything you have going on at the moment.

Gishki - What can i say.. you are another one of my great pals that i have met here. We have talked a lot since we first met and successfully conducted nasa proof squad 2013. You ave a good taste in anime and are a great conversation partner, really brightening up my day when you are online. As soon as i get the money to fly over and meet you we are having a cold beer (your shout)

TDK - To start off you are an excellent staff member, one of the highest quality members on the site if you ask me. You are fair and enforce the rules in an unbiased way. You have won the TTG beard contest for 3 years running and i could see you continue that trend for god knows how long. You are also one of the main reasons that i am posting on The Tech Game at the moment, what you said in my 5000 post made me feel valued as a member. Thanks a lot mate

Sean - I have yet to engage in a lengthy conversation with you but i have to say that you're a great guy. Apart from making The Tech Game you are not reluctant to engage in conversation with normal members such as myself and have a more casual attitude then i thought you would. The conversations that we have had (and pool game that i bet you in) have made me feel valued as a member. Thanks

hippie - I think we have only engaged in a few sentences of conversation before, but i know that is because i am secretly your senpai that you love very much and you are just trying to be a tsundere. You are a professional staff member and do a great job as a senior administrator. Keep it up

Activez- - You are bad at GTAV. I blew up your Sultan when they where in high demand from TTG, and popped your tires a countless amount of times. From this you should already be able to tell that we are great mates. You also have a good taste in anime

wowmanshark - Sword Art Online is life, Live by the Kirito die by the Kirito. I have 16k bitcoins and will ddos u. Not much else to say, thanks for all the fun times over skype mate

de4nz - You need to come on Skype more, you are missing out on the various shenanigans that are taking place. You have been a good friend to me over the past year and i thank you greatly for it

Rabbi_NASA - Grats on sectional! You have taught me a fair bit about TTG despite being a major fgt on the surface. Thanks for everything

TomorrowLand - You are a major reason that i have been actively posting on the site over the last 7 months. Our early conversations taught me a lot about the site and may be a large reason in why i am here right now. You are an excellent member and i hope to see you in that top spot for a long time to come. We need to start chatting more, thanks for everything you have done

G_Man - In my eyes you are a great example of a high quality member on The Tech Game. While not doing it directly you have taught me how to make a quality post and actually contribute to this site. I would have to say that you are a big reason when it comes to why i am here now. For any member who hasn't read this topic i suggest that you do. Thanks a lot mate

Mike Jones - You will be on every thanks list. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

McNuggets - You are a high quality member and a great guy to chat with. You have made a huge contribution to the site and i hope to see you stick around here for many years to come. Thanks

Well first and foremost, you are a huge member among this community and I have seen you more and more around the site recently. Your posts are always helpful and informative and you're a member that others should look up to. You put a lot of effort into your milestone post which you don't see a lot.

You don't often come by members like this, a bright spark among us all and I hope you stick around and don't fade out like others have done.

Keep it up Katsumi, see you around.

I also approve of bread cat.
