Developers: Left Field Productions
Publishers: Nintendo

Plot
This game does not have much of a plot. The game is based on a stunt bike season where players must finish each race as fast as they can to score as many points as possible and be named as winner of the season and best dirt biker.

Gameplay
ExciteBike offers a very long Season mode consisting of twenty different races on a large variety of over fifteen courses. Each race is between six different racers who are all competing in the season against the player. When the player starts the game, he can chose between each of the bikers to play the season with the most suitable biker for his/her method of play. The game has other modes aside from the season mode such as a checkpoint mode, time trials, a football minigame and a stunt mode. When racing, players can use a boost feature as well as performing single tricks and taking hidden short-cuts throughout different tracks.

Graphics
When this game was released, the graphics were pretty basic and nothing exceptional or out of the ordinary. Nowadays the graphics would be considered to be very rough and choppy but thirteen years ago this was expected in every game and nobody knew any different so the graphics were easily accepted by the gaming community back then. The game can still be played nowadays and the graphics can be overlooked as the game really is quite fun.

Controls
The controls are fairly simple but they can get quite difficult when trying to master the game. It is very easy to simply pick up the controller and race but to use some of the games features such as different camera angles, boosts, landing preparations and drifting, it takes a lot of practise to perfect some of these skills. Overall, the controls can satisfy a very experienced gamer or an inexperienced gamer.
