Synopsis
Fight your way to the finish at over 600mhp!

Plot
The plot of this game is related to the original pod racing from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace but is set many years after the first podraces which can be noticed as Anakin Skywalker is all grown up. The story which leads us into the game is very short and we are told that the next podracing championship is upon us and Anakin must return to defend his title against aliens from all over the universe.

Gameplay
Star Wars Racer Revenge consists of thirteen different race-able tracks across five different world and offers nearly thirty different race-able vehicles and even more characters. There are three different game modes available to the player called single-player, versus and tournament. Single-player allows the player to race the way they want choosing how many opponents he has, what track, how many laps etc... Versus allows the player to use to split-screen feature to race against friends on any map of their choice and tournament mode allows the player to enter tournaments of nine different tracks gaining points to upgrade the vehicle to perform better in races. It is possible to smash into other podracers to knock them into obstacles and destroy them, and once the podracer is destroyed, the racer is out of the game and automatically loses which adds a certain difficulty to the game, even though overall it is a very easy game and offers no option to notch up the difficulty setting. Another let down is that once the game has been completed, there is nothing that really drags the player back to re-play the game. Overall the racing feels very realistic and brings back the crazy violence from the original game.

Graphics
The game has very good graphics for the time it was released and runs very smoothly to say there are so many racers, racing at the same time over large maps. There never seems to be any problems such as freezes and upset framerates throughout any of the racing tracks. The texture of the game is very attractive and detail seems to of been put into everything including vehicles, characters and even the vast environment. The graphics really would of enhanced gameplay back in its day, sadly the graphics would be considered to be very poor nowadays.

Controls
The controls are very simple to use and only really consist of using the arrow keys to control the vehicles direction and speed. There are no other buttons which need to be used to use power ups etc... as there arent any. Since the game is a very simple racer, the controls match the simplicity of the gameplay. No issues with the controls and most gamers should pick them up in a few minutes flat.
