The story follows Mario as he pursues the Koopa King, Bowser into outer space, where he has imprisoned Princess Peach and taken control of the universe using Power Stars. Mario must travel across various galaxies to recover the Power Stars in order to travel to the center of the universe and rescue the princess. The game was originally planned as a simple iteration of Super Mario Galaxy with few modifications and a projected development time of a year; this version would have been called More Super Mario Galaxy. It was later decided that the game was to be developed as a fleshed-out sequel when the development staff continued to build upon the game with dozens of new ideas, and so development time expanded to two and a half years. Among the additions are dynamic environments, new power-ups, and, most notably, the ability to ride Yoshi.

Gameplay is one of the key features in this fantastic Mario title. Right when Mario jumps out of a green warp pipe to go to Peaches castle for some cake (Shouldnt he know by now?) to celebrate the annual Star Festival. Mario is greeted by a Luma, right when it goes under his cap he can feel warmth and power surging through him, one again. Within 10 minutes of playtime you meet the main enemy of this game, Bowser. Bowser is back better then ever, bigger and tougher. The game consistes of 240 stars to find, wich will give you hours of great joy playing this fast-paced Mario game. In each level there is 1 very hell hidden star coin, that can take hours of hunting down this coin. Yoshi is back, with a few tricks up his sleeve. This green dino has some power-ups scattered across some levels that can make you go VERY high or SUPER fast! Yoshi isnt the only one with some new power-ups! Mario has crazy new ones that makes the Mario galaxy series a whole new level! Mario can turn into a rock wich can run over enemys as well as even brake some objects that have prizes hidden in them! Not only is there that Great new power up! Mario can do all sorts of new abilities such as, shake the Wii remote to turn thin air into a walkable cloud that will let you reach all sorts of hieghts. Of course you can forget about the star suit, or even the new drill that will allow Mario to drill through the ground!

The Super Mario Galaxy 2 graphics revolutionize the entire Mario franchise for the Wii. The graphics are re-vamped and better then any past Mario titles. Just in some cut scenes you can see jut how much work went into making this magnificent game! From every star bit that comes crashing from the sky to the background art in the levels, you can sure tell that this is a beautiful game

This game consist's of the best and most fluid controls in the Franchise! The camera angles can sometimes be a little glitchy, but that doesnt make this games controls any thing but perfect!
