Plot
There are three different stories in this campaign from the Americans, the British and the Russians. The Americans story begins with troops parachuting into Normandy and taking a small town. As the game progresses the troops have to defend the town they took from German counter-attacks and also go behind enemy lines sabotages there equipment and stealing confidential enemy intelligence whilst rescuing captured soldiers. The British troops also parachute into France and take a bridge from the Germans which they later have to defend against a counter-attack. Later they destroy enemy equipment and also fail taking out a dam. Finally nearing the end of the British campaign they sneak onto a German ship and blow it up with the captain dying during gunfight. The Russian campaign begins in the Battle of Stalingrad which they win and then push the Germans back to take control of the Red Square. They then travel through sewers and apartments taking out German troops and snipers and fight off a German counter-attack. They finally move into Berlin in tanks and hold up the Russian flag as a sign on victory.

Gameplay
This game offers both single-player and multi-player. The single player missions are a bit slower paced than some of the later Call of Duty releases but the game is still very fun to play through especially on the re-release for Xbox 360 and Playstation as gamers who no longer have older consoles can re-play a classic game. The campaign is played nearly exactly the same as the newer games just with fewer interactions. The multi-player was quite a letdown, especially on the re-release as there was no changes made from the original at all other than leader boards. There was no XP and un-lockables on the original and not on the re-make either. The multi-player can host eight player games on a variety of six different game modes. Overall the game play is very good for a game released in 2003 but when they classic was brought to Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 in 2007 it was a shame that no real changes were made.

Graphics
When this game was first released in 2003 the graphics were great and better than most others games being released at the time which was one reason why it was such a successful game. However, the classic has exactly the same graphics as the original did which was a shame as the game would of looked and felt smoother. Overall there are no problems with the graphics other than that they are a bit choppy. They do not hinder game play on either game and do not affect game play experience.

Controls
Alike every other Call of Duty there is nothing special about the controls. They are very similar to most other first person shooters and very simple to use. At the beginning of the game, there is a tutorial helping the player learn the controls and how to do nearly every possible action in the game. Overall, very happy with the controls being so easy to use and familiar to most gamers.
