Sypnosis
Inspired by classic Hollywood and Asian cinema style action thrillers, Sleeping Dogs is a gritty open-world cop drama set in the vibrant city of Hong Kong. Sleeping Dogs catapults players into the role of undercover cop Wei Shen, tasked with taking down one of the worlds most fearsome criminal organizations from the inside... the Hong Kong Triads. As players explore the bustling and crowded Hong Kong island, through its neon-lit side streets and sprawling street markets, an incredible story unfolds of loyalty and betrayal where Wei begins to question his own motives as he is sucked in deeper than he could ever imagine.

Offering players an island packed with action, every street corner, market stall, harbor dock or city skyscraper can become an opportunity for intense shoot-outs, adrenaline-fueled street races and intense, brutal martial arts combat. Featuring one of the most intuitive and imaginative combat systems, Sleeping Dogs empowers players to perform an extensive set of martial arts moves, singlehandedly taking on numerous opponents. Players perform bone-crunching kicks and combos, vicious counters and a cinematic set of environmental takedowns making use of countless real-world items from circular saws to phone booths, incinerators to refrigerator doors.

Story/Gameplay
Let me start by saying the story line is great! It's like playing a well written tv show. You are Wei Shen, an undercover cop in Hong Kong who is part of the triads too. Now being loyal to both is a pretty hard deal but you learn to cope with it throughout the story. You go through many different types of ordeals from picking up wedding materials or going on shootings against rival gangs. The game leaves you with many different types of missions that will leave you playing for hours!

Graphics

The graphics (usually these days) never cease to not impress people. It gives you a real feel on how Hong Kong is expressed. Faces are very well made and, c'mon, when do you not see good graphics these days? Well. all in all, this game has great graphics that you won't be saying, "wow those graphics suck" and not want to play the game anymore.

Controls

Wow! This controls are easy to use. I never really know what to say about this section aside from my experience. I guess the hardest part is driving and shooting your gun at the same time seeing that you have to hold LB and accelerate with RT and shoot with RB. It would only really be hard if you didn't have a middle and index finger! LOL.

Rating:
Story: 10
Graphics:9.3
Controls:9.5
Lasting appeal:8.5(Once you beat it, not much to do)
Overall rating:9.8
