Developer: Blizzard Entertainment
Publisher: Blizzard Entertainment
Release Date: May 15th, 2012
ESRB: M
Genre: Action role-playing, hack and slash, dungeon crawl

Synopsis:
Two decades have passed since the demonic denizens, Diablo, Mephisto, and Baal, wandered the world of Sanctuary in a vicious rampage to shackle humanity into unholy slavery. Yet for those who battled the Prime Evils directly, the memory fades slowly and the wounds of the soul still burn.
When Deckard Cain returns to the ruins of Tristram's Cathedral seeking clues to new stirrings of evil, a comet from the heavens strikes the very ground where Diablo once entered the world. The comet carries a dark omen in its fiery being and it calls the heroes of Sanctuary to defend the mortal world against the rising powers of the Burning Hells ? and even the failing luminaries of the High Heavens itself.

Review:
I had never played either Diablo or Diablo II, so I had no idea except for a few things I read. I put the disc in and while it was installing it had a story about the previous storylines of Diablo and Diablo II, this was amazing; I knew what I had to know and it helped exceptionally. After installation I signed in and even though I had heard of the server errors I was lucky and connected. I was prompted with five classes to choose from, Barbarian, Witch Doctor, Wizard, Monk, and Demon Hunter. Well the two that appealed to me were Barbarian and Wizard. Barbarian is a huge muscled guy, who uses two swords, meanwhile Wizard is well a wizard. After a few minutes of thinking I went with Wizard. He had a magical bolt he shot which was awesome, I spammed it and took out the few beginning enemies, and figured for a newb this game wasn't bad. So you can definitely learn the controls early. Not giving away too much, the storyline was amazing, the cutscenes crisp and clean, the dialogue perfectly executed. The game was beautiful, I am now on my second playthrough on "Nightmare" difficulty. Even when beating the game, I still find new surprises around the corner. Even if you start new characters you can use items or money from your previous character or even collect money with that character and use it on past characters. You can find or buy clothing to customize your character to your likely, or run the basics and be clones of others. Sadly if you don't have an internet connection you are not able to play the game, it is online only. You can play by yourself, or join a random server, or join/invite a friend. I am completely satisfied with the buy.

Graphics:
The graphics aren't too cartoony and aren't too realistic. Personally I think they fit the Gothic theme great. The cut scenes were smooth and didn't lag at all. The only lag I ever came across is when there were around 40-50 enemies in the area, and I was spamming my attacks and health potions.

Controls:
The controls were basic left and right clicking a few shortcut keys to open your inventory, use special attacks, and health potions. To move you click where to go like a lot of games. The only annoying thing is that the attack and move are both left click, so when I go to move out of a fight I might move closer. Besides that the controls are great and simple, I picked up on them within ten minutes.

Grading:
Overall: 9/10
Storyline: 8/10
Graphics: 8/10
Controls: 7/10
Character Development: 8/10
Replay Value: 10/10
