Game Information
Release date: May 29, 2007
Developers: FASA Interactive
Publishers: Microsoft Game Studios
Genre: FPS
Rating: 18+, M
Platform: Xbox 360, PC

Synopsis(WIKI)
Shadowrun is an online only (or single player with AI players) first-person shooter video game, developed by FASA Interactive for Xbox 360 and Windows Vista. It was later cracked to work on Windows XP,[1] confirming speculation that it was intentionally limited to Windows Vista. The game features a buying system which is greatly inspired by the game Counter-Strike. The game is also inspired by the role-playing game of the same name. It is not set in the official Shadowrun timeline, but an alternate continuity invented by FASA Interactive. It was the first game to use Games for Windows - Live that allows for Windows users to play with Xbox 360 users.
On December 15, 2009, the game was made available on the Games on Demand store for Games for Windows Live with a price tag of $20, however due to a promotion the title was available for $10 until January 4, 2010.

Story
The storyline in Shadowrun is consisted of the theory that magic comes and goes every couple thousand years or so. In the main storyline of Shadowrun, the game is basically on online multiplayer game, put into a storymode, with AI as your enemies. The game consists of owning magic, and using that magic to complete various objectives. Shadowrun really fails to give a good deal of storyline to it, as it really has none to it. Although it is called Singleplayer, there is really no main questline, no specific characters that are extremely important, and overall nothing to really look at it. The only upside, is that it does give us something unique in a singleplayer campaign.

Graphics
Shadowrun delivers a very mediocre graphics system filled with the cartoonish feels, and overall, nothing completely special to present. The game is consisted of robotic movements, even for its time period in which it was released. Even so, the game has some cartoonish graphics, and overall bad character structure and movements. Shadowrun consists of very poorly designed character animations and movements. The structures, movements and acitivities to do are very robotic and are poorly constructed. The gunplay is the same, and explosions and other gunplay are not assorted into the vast category of vivid colors and eccentric gameplay. The one upside to Shadowrun is the aspect that the game delivers quite an abundance of lighting, gameplay, and scenarios overall, as this is a major aspect in the graphics portion of a rating.

Gameplay
The gameplay in Shadowrun has a very limited and repetitive feel, which is fluent throughout a wide majority of the gameplay. The game features repetitive gameplay, and delivers a very weak storyline. The AI is not well constructed either. The one major upside to this game is the variety of gameplay, including the multiplayer. Multiplayer is a main factor in this game that boosts up its score, and makes it overall better. Shadowrun features a strong multiplayer, with variety customization, and abundance. Shadowrun may fail to deliver strong mechanics and engines throughout all aspects of the game, but the fun, and overall aspect of the game is quite fun. Magic is innovative to the gaming table, and delivers a new feel to gaming, one that has not been mentioned yet. Overall, some quite fun gameplay throughout.

Reception
The Reception for Shadowrun varied in most aspects of reviews and ratings. One of the major ratings that this game received overall was its amazing multiplayer and addictive feel to it. It was negatively mentioned for its repetitive gameplay, expected mediocre storyline and overall badly constructed engines and graphics system throughout the entire game. Overall, the game received around a 7/10 or 6.5/10, and was mainly criticized for its lack of elaboration on the gameplay. From IGN it received a 6.8/10, and from various other critics and reviewers, it received a 3-4 star range. The game's reception was widely varied.
