Genre: Action, Combat
Rating: 18+, M

Synopsis(Wiki)
Bionic Commando is a 2009 action-platform video game, part of the Bionic Commando series. The game was developed and published by Capcom in collaboration with Swedish developer GRIN and produced by Ben Judd. The game is a sequel to the 1988 NES version of Bionic Commando and its remake Bionic Commando Rearmed. The game runs on GRIN's own 'Diesel' engine. The console versions were released in North America on May 19 and in all PAL territories on May 22, 2009, and the PC release shortly thereafter.

Story
The game follows the story of Nathan Spencer, a Major working as a government operative, who works with a secret team, training for certain battle and what not. As you go through various flashbacks of Nathan's secret past, you uncover mysteries about him, and his past partner. The game features present day actions in the fictional city of Ascenscion where Nathan and the secret operatives work together to stop crime and evil. When you first refuse to take part in helping out, the leader of the operation bribes Spencer, telling him he knows where his missing wife is; now it is up to Nathan to fulfill these perilous journeys and missions for the operation. Confusing, no?

Graphics
The game follows average amounts of various graphics; the scenarios are a very big plus in the game. You may find yourself in an abandoned city with wreckage and debris, or you may find yourself chasing criminals in an open forest wasteland. Camera movements are medicore in various ways; they have some pretty buggy movements if swinging from higher places. Some movements are pretty nice though, as you swing from building to building, fulfilling certain misssions. The only thing I really have to complain about is the userface. Menu screens, ammo counters, and things of that category, are pretty blank and have no design to it. Also, the characters and guns are not as designed with equal effort as the other designs such as the scenarios, and movements.

Gameplay
The gameplay in this game is really what brings the overall score of the game down quite a bit. The game features some pretty cheesy and stupid objectives and gun sound. The gun shooting in general makes it quite a dissapointment. Your Bionic claw does make the game a plus. The game features some pretty cool grappling sequences along with action sequences. The game attempts some stealth features throughout, but really fails at the end of the day. The game may feature hard to earn headshots, or hard to travel from distant amounts from certain spots. The game features some crappy combat features and sequences, and cut scenes in general don't really apply various incorporation to good gameplay.

Reception
As expected, Bionic Commando received some either bad, or extremely mediocre scores from various game reviewers, including some such as Gamespot and IGN. IGN, gave it actually one of the highest rated reviews that it got overall. IGN gave it some 7.7 and received a "great" labeled title. From Gamespot, it received a lazy 5.6 out of ten, and from user ratings and reviews, it received an overall of around 6.7 or 68 out of 100.
