Synopsis(Wiki)
The Bigs (stylized as The BIGS) is an arcade-style baseball video game for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Wii and PlayStation Portable. It was released in June 2007 in North America, and in October in Europe. A sequel, The Bigs 2, was released on July 7, 2009.

Graphics
Although this game was developed in 2006, releasing the following year, the game features mediocre graphics, even for this year in time. It has its moments, and some homerun swings follow great camera movements, and I'm not saying that this isn't bad; just that, most, if all graphics in this game are somewhat cartoonish, and feel like a rip offed version of the previous MLB games. Although this game does have some very good camera movements, and facial structure of actual beings, the game features cheesy movements, actions, and various ways of running and so on. Besides the fact that when you miss a swing you look like a fourth grader spinning in circles as if in a cartoon, this game has its moments with graphics; sometimes.

Gameplay
The Bigs has its ups, downs, and what not all throughout the game. The game does lack a franchise mode, and season mode, but it does make up for it throughout the game. It features some very fun modes to play off of. There are 3 main modes in this game; Rooke Challenge, Homerun Pinball, and Home Run derby. These game types have individual playing styles, and do make up somewhat of the missing aspects of franchise, or managing career modes, but it still will never replace the sole factor that these types of modes are sincerely mandatory in a sports game like The Bigs. The game also features some smooth gameplay, as it does help throughout the game to have these certain aspects. Also, multiplayer has its various advantages, such as versing your local friend, or playing a buddy online.

Controls
What may seem to be extremely overwhelming at first, may come to you very easily and naturally over about an hour of gameplay. The only downward aspect of this game, is the fact that it features various confusing movements and controls to get used to. The game features a standardized baseball like control system, but with various aspects that may get very confusing to get used to. For example, pitching to opponents has various asepcts to it; whether you're controlling a curve ball, or attempting to pitch a straight fast ball. This game features lots of various controls and stick movements. Although this may seem overwhelming, the game does feature an explanatory explanation of the actual controls and what not, and overtime are very easy to get used to.

Reception
The Bigs received a various amounts of mixed reviews with many different aspects of whether it was either a 6/10, 9/10, and so on, it received an overall calculation of around 77/100, and an 8/10. The game received some mediocre scores with some explained details from various game critics, including IGN, and so on. Critics also acclaimed that Rookie mode was a very bad implement into the game. The critics would have rather preferred a franchise, career, or season mode into the gameplay. Overall, the game recieved either 7,8,9 and so on reviews, from various critics.
