Pure is an off-road, quad-bike trick-racing video game for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Windows published by Disney Interactive Studios and developed by Black Rock Studio (formerly Climax Racing, the developers of the Moto GP and ATV Offroad Fury franchises). The game was announced on February 14, 2008 and was released in North America on September 16, 2008 on Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, in Europe on September 26, 2008 and in Japan on June 25, 2009. The game incorporates a trick system that rewards the player with speed boosts for successfully pulling off tricks.

Well the main setting is the race track, nopt just any race track, an off-road race track, full of high falls, slopes sharp turns and many obstacles. This has the best race track of any game i have ever played, its pretty lucky i got this game when i bought the Arcade in a deal, because i probably would never had come across this game. Overall the setting was amazing and i hope they bring out a Pure 2.

Well the game kicks off as your a ATV racer, a famous one aswell, the whole game is about going around the world competeing in many races in order to get to the top. There are 3 types of races: Freestyle, This is where you have a certain amount of gas in your canister and you have to perform as many amazing tricks as you can with the ATV before you run out of gas, there are a few power ups along the way, for extra speed,points or gas. Which come in very helpful. A Sprint, Which is a small race track, very limited, so there are no big jumps only little ones, and there are 5 laps, the turns are very fast paced so remember 'Slow in, Fast out' that quote has helped me with every racing game ive ever played. And Race, which is just a simple race, there are 3 laps they have alot of open space, so that means jumps, turns, fast corners, shortcuts you have to saty at the top of the leaderboard and make sure you keep doing tricks, but not too hard ones, overwise you may fall off your ATV and get respawned in last place. I love the way you can customise your ATV so it suits you, adding Suspension, NOS, handleling, better breaks, changeing the colour of your ATV. It is just an unbelieveable racing experience. Overall the gameplay can be well siuted to any player of any genre, and the gameplay is amazing aswell.

The graphics for this game were insane, this was my first xbox360 game and it just blew me away, the sounds the dust behind me as i speed by, everything was perfect. I remember that one race where there would be a massive jump and you could see the sun shineing in the sky and it was just an epic momment. Overall the graphics were really good, i can see alot of effort has gone into making them this way, with graphics like this its hard not to enjoy this game!

Well the controls were pretty good, as a racing game they were perfect as they had the same racing controls as games like Need For Speed, buy they made the buttons 'A,B,Y' For tricks and stuff and 'X'for a boost of NOS. Which made the game simple but challengeing at the same time, which made the game more fun. Overall the controls were simple but great at the smae time.

Pure was well received by critics. Official Xbox Magazine gave it a 9 out of 10. Game Rankings gave the game an average score of 84.0% for the PC game, 82.6% for the PlayStation 3 game, and 85.4% for the Xbox 360 game. Metacritic has an average score of 83 out of 100 for both the PC and PlayStation 3 games, and 85 out of 100 for the Xbox 360 game. Ryan Geddes from IGN gave the game a 8.4 out of a possible 10 points, praising that "The controls are intuitive, the tracks are pure eye candy and the tricks are so crazy", but noting that the game lacked depth.

Overall the game was an amazing deal for me, as i spent alot of time on it as it was so addicting, the graphics were solid gold, the gameplay was superb and the race tracks were immense, probably the one of the best racing games i have played.
