Synopsis(Wiki)
50 Cent: Blood on the Sand is a third-person shooter video game developed by Swordfish Studios and published by THQ for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game was released on February 20, 2009, in Europe and February 24, 2009, in North America and serves as the sequel to 50 Cent: Bulletproof.

Story
50 Cent BOTS follows the story line of Curtis Jackson, or 50 cent, and the rest of the GUnit crew. Throughout the game you play as various characters in the game and play as different members, with different atributes and what not. The game follows in the Middle east, after 50 Cent and GUnit are hired to play a Rap show in the Middle East. The man who hired them to play in the area, refuses to pay them the 10 million he had promised. After long negotiations, the man gives GUnit a diamond encrusted skull. After viewing the skull and realizing its importance, GUnit and the crew decide to take it. After some time, a terrorist leader, finds that the skull was stolen from them, and after that, all hell breaks loose, between the gangs and their guns. This develops into a somewhat less entertaining storyline.

Graphics
Graphics in BOTS are amazing, especially for 2009, and with individual crafting with characters. Different characters are crafted amazingly, with skill, and very realistic gear and guns. Scenarios are mostly desert, but besides that, they are actually very various and well crafted in general. Gun shots and blood are also a very big impact on the game, as they have very realistic feels to it, and have nice crafting to them. The only defect is that some of the menu bars and text are somewhat cartoonish. For example, when you are choosing your gun through the swap menu, the guns are very cartoonish and although it fits a somewhat feel of the game, it really demeans a lot of realism in the game. The menu bars are also not the best. The general interface isn't the best either. Some very cool aspects about the game are the changes in scenario, and day of time. There are various times of day to play from.

Gameplay
Gameplay in BOTS is a very nice effect in the game. There are tons of different weapons to choose from, and the shooter aspect of the game is very nice effect to the game. There are tons of different gun sounds, characters, missions, and so on. There is a lot of differnent things you can also spend your money on that you earn. The game features a wide variety of options, and different styles to play from. The soundtrack fits the game, as mostly all of the songs are either by 50 cent or some member of GUnit. The variety in this game never ends. The only defects to this game are the mass amounts of clutter on the screen. There may be different indicators for kills, or indicators for money that you've earned and so on. This really demeans a lot of the gameplay as it takes your attention away from the actual game.

Reception
Although it would seem that critics would dislike this game, they surprised just about everyone when this game was featured in XPLay's top games of 2009 video. Although it seemed as if this game would receive tons of negative reviews, it really didn't receive anything bad other than the fact that its story line was very weak and not very well planned out. It scored an average of around 8/10 on most reviews, and overall of 4/5 on most 5 star reviews. Some said it was one of the best games of 2009. The gameplay was always praised, along with 50 cent's involvement in the game, but the worst part that critics always said to be bad, was its weak storyline.
