Synopsis
Bodycount is a first-person shooter video game for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It is published by Codemasters and developed by the Guildford Studio. It is considered a spiritual successor to the game Black developed by the same team.

Story
The story of Body Count follows the path of a past American Soldier, named Jackson. Jackson is recruited by a secretive organization called "The Network". The Network is a team of supersoldiers that take down and set peace in some of the most dangerous areas in the world. As you work for the Network, your job is to set peace, and by all means neccessary. Even guns blazing down a whole town. As you progress through the story, you unravel certain mysteries about the Network, and other things such as this.

Graphics
Bodycount has a mix of different graphics. In this game, it seems that some cutscenes may have worse graphics than the actual game. This isn't a bad thing, but the fact that even the gameplay isn't particularly that good either, doesn't help its cause. Although graphics in Bodycount are destructable, and some areas are very fragile, explosions and gun shots aren't the best looking either. The guns are not the best looking, and are very poorly crafted. They all seem to have the same pattern appearing on them, and in general, guns are not well crafted. Scenarios may vary. The first level of the game has some well made graphics, but from there it seems like a repetition of gameplay. The same scenarios, and desert like scenario. They do not vary, or have individual qualities to them either. They're all the same basically.

Gameplay
Bodycount's gameplay is what drops its score. The gameplay in this game is quite fun. Although you may get bored firing at semi-retarted enemies, but it does have a somewhat satisfactory feel to it. Aiming is not the best, as you cannot look through an iron sight, and shooting is very unaccurate. There is also a poor choice of colors. Ammo capacity is indicated by cyan blue indicators. Objective markers are also a light blue. Ammo is attracted to you when you walk near them, along with other things dropped by enemeis. You basically can't aim in, so chances are you'll waste tons of bullets on the same enemy, who just won't die. But don't worry, they're also inaccurate so you'll have tons of fun firing 200 bullets at each other waiting to see who runs out of ammo first. And if you kill a wide majority of enemies, the ammo indicators will be all over the place, obstructing all visual scenario.

Controls
Controls is also a very weak spot in this games rating. Although they do give you indicators on what controls do what, and so on, almost all the controls are very awkward. Running is nearly impossible, as you glide all over the place, and shooting from a distance is impossible unless you have 1 sensitivity. The controls in this game fault, as many of them have to be mashed until finally acted upon the game. When aiming, the gun sways, adding tacticality to the game, but making it extremely hard for new players. You tend to find running and sprinting very awkward, and extremely hard to do. Enemies take multiple bullets to kill, but since they're mostly inable to do anything, you'll get around.

FINAL RATINGS:
Synopsis: 8
Story: 8
Graphics: 6
Gameplay: 5
Controls: 6

FINAL RATING: 6.3 - Hard for Newcomers, boring and repetitive, and all around not the best.
