Synopsis

Hitman: Contracts is a stealth game developed by IO Interactive and published by Eidos Interactive. It is the third entry in the Hitman series, followed by Hitman: Blood Money. The game features recreations of four levels from Hitman: Codename 47. The storyline intertwines between two missions in its sequel, Hitman: Blood Money. The game is considered to be the darkest and most violent game of the series, due to the overall dark and depressing tone throughout the game's missions.

Setting

Hitman Contracts setting was rather depressing and exciting at the same time. I think every level was in the rain, which suited the fact that you were on a mission to asassinate somebody. Well the game features levels all over the world, rangeing from Secret raves to hotels to stripclubs, you could drive a car, walk, run , climb you name it. I liked the sense of freeroam that you had and the way you could act out the missions, the game had it all.

Setting Rating:8.3/10

Gameplay

Well the gameplay was pretty amazing, the things you could do were great. I loved the whole idea of being stealthy, using various weapons to kill people. The thing that got me hooked was how smart the game was with killing people, the best one was probably making someone suffacate in a Sauna, it was just expecting to go in with a scilencer and shoot him but that was just amazing. The varaity of weapons aswell, not only guns but lockpicks, wire, knifes also you had to do alot of exploring to find various items that lead to your escape. Like in the first mission escapeing a psycho asylem buy dressing as a policeman and finding the car keys. There would also be people that will help towards killing or escaping, like hireing a prostotute to snog someone so you can rig there car with explosives. The game itself is a masterpiece. The suspision bar aswell was a good feature, it helped to tell me when to get the hell outta there. The clothes feature was pretty good, this is wear you would kill/knock out someone and you would be able to steal their clothes, these can be used to get you into certain areas, like dressing as a chef and poisoning someones chicken, which came together pretty well. Overall the gameplay was fantastic, really good game.

Gameplay Rating:9.1/10

Graphics

The games visuals were pretty good, i had no problems with glitches bugs ect.. I thought they killing was put together well, no blood splatting randomly, when you kill somebody they landed like they were dead, like they were all flexable, not just really bad graphics. Assassinating people was also very good, you would expect some sort of glitch in the prosess but that never happened to me, the game had one of the best engines at the time.Overall the graphics were smooth and brilliant.

Controls

Controls were actually quite hard, i mean there were some random controls which most of the time got me killed which was very annoying, i would accidently get out my wire and get killed, which sucks, alot.So yeah due to the hardness of this game it let down everything else, everything was good.. and then they made the controls random and stupid.Overall the controls were not as good as the rest of the game.

Controls Rating:4.1/10

Game Reception

Though Hitman: Contracts was overall not as warmly received as other entries to the series, with common criticisms focusing on the greater difficulty of its gameplay and the fact that many of the missions it features were simply reworked versions of levels that featured in the first entry to the series rather than original creations, the critical consensus on the game was still generally positive.

Overall

Overall the game was very good, the graphics, setting and gameplay was amazing, but the controls were something i will hate to the grave.. it had its ups and downs but overall the game was funtastic(yes fun/fantasic).

Overall Rating:9.1/10
