Synopsis

Set sometime in classical Japanese history, kami combines several Japanese myths, legends and folklore to tell the story of how the land was saved from darkness by the Shinto sun goddess, named Amaterasu, who took the form of a white wolf. It features a distinct sumi-e-inspired cel-shaded visual style and the Celestial Brush, a gesture-system to perform miracles.

Setting

The setting for this game was rather unique and enjoyable. Basically the game is set in an artists point of view, as in everything looks like it has been drawn. It made me as a gamer feel like i was in an animation or a comic-book. The games setting style really does suit the games "In-game canvas" tool, which was great because it was perfect and easier than using it in other non Nintendo versions. Overall I'd say the setting was perfect.

Gameplay

The gameplay in my eyes and in basically everyone elses was just fantastic. I mean the 'Celestial Brush' for the wii controller was just brilliant. The way you could use it in puzzles and combat. If you wanted to kill someone you just slice them with your wii romote. If you wanted to get from one side of land to the other, just draw a bridge. It was as simple as that. Also all the possible upgrades for the celestial brush was kinda handy, my favourite had to have been Inferno which was a fire ability, but you couldn't always use the brush as the ink you had to use did eventually run out and you had to find inc in wells ect.. so you couldn't always fight enimies with it which kinda kept the balence. Even though you were a wolf you would collect money i belive it was yen and at the end of a battle with your enimies you would be given an amount of yen which you would use to buy different combat abilitys which i thought was a neat touch. Overall I'd say the gameplay was great, one of the best games ive ever played.

Graphics

Well like i said before the game was a based to look like an artist had drawn the world, so i couldn't really give an opinion on the graphics but if were rating the way it looks then I'd give it a 8/10 the game looked abit fuzzy but i believe that was what the developers were trying to get at.

Controls
Well for the WII the controls for this was great simple fun, there was a slight error that sometimes some of the pattern techniques wouldn't work for a while but once it did it was fine. Also the fact that it was a WII romote made the game pretty simple to play concidering theres 2 buttons that you use Making the game easy for any ages. Young or Old this gay was perfect for anyone.
