Synopsis:

While most video game heroes are concerned with saving the world from an impending peril or rescuing a fair damsel in distress, Milton and Ilona just want to share a spot of apple tea together in the park. This humble goal is the impetus for a delightful puzzle game in which you must reunite these separated friends to complete each level. Patchwork visuals and bouncy music provide a cheery backdrop for your adventure, and the happy aesthetics mesh wonderfully with the unassuming story tying everything together. Despite the pleasing atmosphere, there is a hint of frustration in this peaceful world. Strict rules limit your locomotion, and there are times when seemingly every option has been exhausted with no path to success in sight. But despite these odd moments of aggravation, Ilomilo is a cheerful game that embraces life's simple pleasures.

Story:

The story starts out with explaining to you there are two friends, one red and one blue. Their names are ilo and milo and every morning they would meet but the tee in the middle of the park to drink apple tea and munch on maple leaf flavored biscuits. When night came they would both return to their homes and prepare to meet the next day. But meeting each other every morning was harder then you would think because it seemed that someone rearranged the park everyday. Possibly it was that ilo and milo's memory wasn't all that good. This made ilo and milo's friendship somewhat complicated... After the game explains this to you the story starts, You goal in the story is to join up ilo and milo in 49 different levels. Through the story you can collect collectibles scattered around the levels that combine to tell you another story. You meet Sebastian who gives you helpful tips on how to beat some levels. After you've completed all the levels necessary in the story mode ilo and milo will leave the park together and wander the world.

Story Rating: 9/10

Gameplay:

In the gameplay the players goal is to get ilo and milo together. This gets extremely more difficult as you advanced through the levels. You will have together blocks to build bridges, deal with gravity shifting levels and a lot more challenges. The more difficult levels can be extremely frustrating and might require a tutorial being looked up. During the levels you can collect other things like safkas and things called "pick ups" scattered around the levels. Collecting all the other things in the levels gets you hidden story's or bonus levels. The gameplay is very fun besides the fact that it can get extremely frustrating at times.

Gameplay Rating: 8/10

Graphics:

I've never seen graphics like in ilo milo, You are constantly walking around some giant mess of cubes that are stuck together or sometimes not stuck together. All the grounds have very cool and unique textures. There are these cool floating shapes that are always in the background scenery during the puzzles. I really enjoyed the graphics in this game

Controls:

Te controls are simple because all you really do in the game is move around, pick things up and set things down. Moving around is the thumb sticks, picking things up is a, zooming out to see a better view of the map is Y and switching characters is x. That's all their really is to it so you can see why its easy to pick up and play like a pro. I liked the controls, they are ver fitted for the game and are easy to use.

Controls Rating: 9/10

Intresting Fact:

If the player owns A World of Keflings or Raskulls they will have new content available in the game.

Overall Rating: 8.5/10 (Very unique and funny story line along with good graphics but the gameplay can get very frustrating at times.)
