Synopsis

Locations
Many locations that are not featured in the movies are in the game. Locations include the Ettenmoors, Fornost, Mirkwood and Mount Gundabad. Locations from the movies also appear in the game. Players can explore Bree and Rivendell and interact with the characters there which include Gandalf, Elrond, Frodo, Bilbo, Legolas, Arwen and Aragorn. Characters from the books can also appear in the game. The Ranger Halbarad, Radagast, and Elrond's sons, Elladan and Elrohir, are just some of the characters that players will encounter.

Characters
War in The North features three playable protagonists. The three characters fall into three separate classes, Champion/warrior, Loremaster/mage and Ranger/rogue. Characters gain experience by defeating enemies, and will level up when enough experience has been gained. Characters can improve their stats (strength, will, stamina, dexterity), and use skill points to receive or upgrade special abilities.

Eradan
Eradan is the Ranger class, he is a Dnadan. (From Elvish dn-adan, meaning Man of the West, Nmenorean.) He is the most adaptable playable character and can use a two-handed sword, a sword and shield, dual wield weapons or a bow. Eradan also has access to many stealth abilities which allow him to sneak up on enemies to attack them.
Eradan is voiced by Nolan North.

Farin
Farin is the Champion class, he hails from Erebor. Out of all three characters, Farin is the most skilled in using melee weapons, but also possesses a crossbow which may be used for ranged attacks. He can also mine for gems.

Andriel
Andriel is the Elven Loremaster class who has been taught by Elrond. She hails from Rivendell. She uses magic as her defense and offense but can also dual wield a one-handed weapon with her staff, which can also be used to melee attack enemies with. Her abilities include offensive and supportive spells but she possesses melee abilities and may be leveled up to become a battlemage if the player wishes. She can also create potions from alchemy ingredients that the player may find scattered around the game world.

Story

War in the North takes place in parallel story of Frodo's journey. For while Frodo is moving towards Mordor, you and your party two move towards the North. You Should put Mordor Allies out of the game, Agandar. You Will, Among Other Things, to Fornost there you will meet the sons of Elrond.
The story is about three characters: The Elf, Andriel. The Dwarf, Farin. And about the man Eradan. The story is really good if you play it with friends you will gain much more game experience and have more fun that single-player. But still Single-player is good too.

Gameplay

The combat system and the game is generally easy to learn and constant upgrades open up new tactics. The developers have carved figure in the development of bone, and it is easy both to follow and feel that the characters become more powerful as experience points are coming in.
Like all action-RPG fans know is the most important thing in such a game, the equipment and not least the pursuit of more heated equipment. The developers do not disappoint and know exactly which buttons to press on to become addicted, you will find always something new, stylish and powerful.

Let me just say that it is possible to play through The Lord of the Rings: War in the North alone, but it robs you the gaming experience developers originally wanted. The game is actually mostly made with the co-op in mind, and believe me, it's much more fun to dismember jams with friends. Do you play alone, shows there is also a number of problems that otherwise would not have been present. The most prominent is that you can not switch between the three characters on the fly, but actually have to end the game and start again at last save point. This is terribly frustrating and a decision I never in my wildest imagination can conceive why is been taken. Why can not I switch to Andriel to cast a magic shield when Eradan is under heavy fire, and instead have to wait in the hope that the AI do it properly, with my life on that bet? Or what if I want to change the armor to the dwarf, or the appearance of Andriel? Then I quit the game, restart it as one of them, change what needs to be changed again before I have to stop to switch back to the one I want to play as.

Graphics

The graphics range from acceptable to beyond cruel, but when you are engaged in a battle like the one above, do you care little about such things. Now it so that it is not only fighting game is (despite the title), and when you walk around in the few, and surprisingly small towns in the game, it is easier to detect bad textures and empty, retail poor areas while talking with the different personalities that live there. In some places I found trees and grass in 2D. The beautiful areas of the films are poorly represented, although some are quite as evocative. Unfortunately, the creatures you encounter in Middle-earth much more interesting than the one-dimensional characters you control. Who you choose of the three options have minimal impact in history. This also applies to the choices you make in conversation, which is one of the more disappointing elements of the game. Dialogue wheel works in a similar way as in Mass Effect, but in a less functional and not very user-friendly manner. There is no indication of what questions to exclude the others, which leads the conversation to an end, so if you have several topics to choose from that you find interesting, it's just cross my fingers that you do not lose the opportunity to ask the next. It is all very messy, and especially frustrating for those who want to explore the story as much as possible. It is actually a lot to learn about Tolkien's world here, and questions you may have set you as you saw the movies, why not brotherhood that just sat on the back of the large eagles and threw away the ring in the deepest oceans, where no one could hope to find it answered.

The controls are really easy to learn. There is no problems with them. But the only thing that annoys me is the bow you need to hold LT, i wish i could change weapon to bow that would be alot more easier.
